I feel sorry for the guy.  I am a political hot head.  I do not give a fuck.  But he really wasn't used to that.  Nor did he experience what I did more than four years ago.  I lost a bunch of so called friends during orangenazi's first term.  And good riddance.  Those I cut off or cut me off.  Bye Felecia!

About That Black Brit Bigot.

 Remember.  All conservatives are evil.  They are trash.  But this Kemi Badenoch is also a Brit culture warrior.  That makes her even trashier than the ordinary conservative.  Or should  I call her rubbish?  Brits use that word.

Anyway.  She might be a tad smarter than our American conservative, evil, trashy, culture warriors.  She seems less likely to be all over the map, and in the media, spreading her bigoted ideas.  For whatever that is worth.  

Oh.  But she does spew pro west bigotry.  Shocking, for someone born in Nigeria.  But her damage is hers to own, and live, and parade for the rest of the world to see.  And, for someone like me, who only has grands and great grands born in Mother Africa.  And, as I have almost half genetic ancestry from Europa, I am more "western" than she is.  If that really is a thing.  And I reject the idea of the west as anything culturally special.  So my attitude towards her and her pro west, bigoted bias is:

What the fuck, young African Lady?  Africans, Islamic Moors, ended the Dark Ages in Western Europe, with their conquista of Iberia!  So, what the fuck you mean with this defend the west, bloody bullshit!

The Owl is a Karen! No Surprise!

 I keep trying to stop posting shit about the Owl.  And she dares me to keep at it, by getting increasingly addle brained.  As a baseline.  For decades, the largest group consuming rap has been white people.  There are just so man more of them in America, I suppose.  I am not accusing the Owl of being white supremacist, here.  But some of her fan bois went there.  Yo!  When you criticize things  or people of being "urban"  we know you are a white supremacist.  But I digress.

Look at her comment.  Even if she wasn't being literally serious (as she did not file suit,) saying that shit out loud is a very Karen thing to think and do.  And coming from one of those cult of free speech weirdos, as she is?  Hypocritical!

Now, one of my favorite comments there, was the guy who threw a "Ok boomer." at her.  But still.  Cussing in popular music goes way back.  Let's not pretend it is associated only with hip hop, rap.

Of Course Supporting Racists Doing Racist Shit is Worse, But

 The Owl is yet again promoting conspiracy theories.  Racist ones!  That sick shit bozo said about VP Harris recently becoming black?  Now I have a relative who was at Howard with her.  So one might accuse me of having inside knowledge.  One would have to be either a flaming racist them self, or too close to one to matter, to think that.  This is a matter of public knowledge!  Bozo was trying to do something like he did with Warren, with the ugly "Pocahontas," smear.  

Anyway.  She decided to check into the racist idea VP Harris only recently sort of became black, by merely doing a search in the NYT archives, and in the wayback machine's archives for the Times.

My sarcasm can go in many directions here.  I could go extensive, or blistering or both.  But I will go with the following.  

That is about as exhaustive an inquiry, as to look for evidence of the existence of feral cats globally, by just looking in the glove box of one car,  Finding no cats at all there in that one glove box, and then declaring:

"No feral cats exist anywhere!"

Bozo also talked about cognitive testing, at that event.  I think the Owl should investigate that, next. By taking one.  And I mean, one more thorough than the Montreal Test.  That is the dementia detection test bozo is so proud of passing.

The Flaming Idiocy of False Choices.

 Not gonna  say which blogger is the accidental birth mother of this post, but . . .

When one makes a false choice, as in, which of two possible forms of personality disorder The Leper Messiah might have?  One is in fact making a false choice.  I am not even going to go down the road really, about how under the current DSM, that there are many spectrums, and one can be well along several, but for saying that much.  The idea of having several mental disorders at once, is not new.  Anyway, the quote on the matter, that the google AI treated me to, today:

You Call That Comedy?

 So it has come to my attention.  And not for the first time.  But the idea of the Leper Messiah being entertaining, like some low brow, vulgarian stand up comedian, is being discussed again.  However, in the specific context of the recent rally, where the teleprompter went out, and he had to ad lib?  Even if I can't stand the sound of his voice, so I don't listen to him, if I can avoid it?  I will just take the word of those who say he sounded even more crazy.  His public self used to be normal sounding and looking. And ya know?  As I like to say.  Don't feel limited by a false choice.  Both things can be true.  He can be trying to be funny and crazy, at the same time.

As far as what kind of humor he manages to deliver?  I might not be an expert on stand up comedy per se.  But I do have that BA in Theatre. Did work in the field.  And do try to keep up in not only product, and trends, but commentary.

And before I pass judgment on Leper Messiah's vulgar "act."  Let me say I know about "The Aristocrats." What Leper Messiah is doing has no relationship to that institutionally important bit.  Because, real comedy requires a specific intent, plus execution, leading to the audience at least getting the joke, the bit, at a superficial level.  Sucking is not intent.  It's the result of lack of talent.  

So here goes.  Leper Messiah is to stand up comedy, what scat is to porn.  There is a wide range of acts that fall under porn.  Scat is likely the most revolting, that isn't illegal.  And just about every one else, no matter their weird but legal bent, are revolted by those who do scat, and those who like scat.

I don't have time to read biographies of people I don't respect, unless

 Someone pays me.  That is what I basically do for a living. I read shit you would have to pay me to read.

More is the point. I don't favor biographies. Specifically autobiography.  That sub genre is about as suspect as it gets.  Particularly, when the autobiographer has an ego that is several orders of magnitude above his meager accomplishments.

So I ain't never fucking ever gonna read Glenn Loury's doorstop. 

I read two reviews of it today. Even the one written by a political admirer remarks how much of an unflattering picture Loury on Loury drew of himself.  I don't know for sure.  But seems to me.  This blowhard who not only is a self appointed intellectual.  But also is a self appointed moral agent, at least when he wants to tell other people how they should live.  Because that is what Republicans do no matter how bad material they are, for moral fiber sources.  But more based on the observations of the reviewer in the NYT piece.  Loury seems to admire his own inner thug, and history of his street life.

Sounds like pretty sad shit to me.  And the disturbingly hilarious part of the whole perverse spectacle?  Loury has, seemingly, no idea how sad he is.  Even if he gave up crack years ago.  He comes across as still something of a crack head.  

I don't say that to be insulting. Oftentimes, the main difference between a still crack head and an ex is just the not smoking crack anymore, part.  Note, I do not mean to say every recovering crack addict will always have the personality of a crack head, for life.  But until now, I just took Loury for a delusional, egotistical, narcissist with above average intelligence, but not even a tiny bit of actual genius, who at the same time, was resentful that most of the world clearly was not impressed by him.  And he thinks they should.  However, viewing him as a recovering crack addict?  It makes sense to me now, how he seems to be so clueless to the actual, objective impression he makes on the wider swath of humanity.

And for what ever fucked up reasons.  And there is scholarship on this point, specifically due to the right wing popularity of that human dumpster fire I call bozo, or the Leper Messiah,  The previous president?

Right wingers love them some toxic personalities. So Loury gets some superficial love from the right wing.  Because he is useful for their white supremacist agenda.  But otherwise, he is a not very likeable person who just wrote a book about how not very likeable he is, actually.  As I frequently say or at least think.  There is a market for that shit.  I am not that market.

Like I said.  Sad.

Bloodbaths, and Bias, and Brain Farts

 I don't click links to Joe Rogan.  He doesn't merit it.  And I am only mentioning him as the OWL's post that triggered me here?  It deals with something that happened on one of his podcasts.  He had Psychologist Jonathan Haidt on.  And they talked about the now infamous bloodbath comment.  Owl said she was disappointed in him because . . .  badly articulated reasons.  But the seeming gist was, they used an edited clip of the remarks, and Haidt . . . did not condone the use of the extremely violent rhetoric? I guess?

She often fails to attempt to make a point, often.  She often just posts shit, and leave it to the observer to figure out her position or why, why posts the shit?  Here she failed to connect the dots.  She likely would have penalized that level of failing to make sense, when she was a law prof.  I have to guess.  Anyway . . . 

I call her out for being awful.  Just because someone doesn't agree with her, doesn't mean they are "mentally failing," as she says.   Just because someone doesn't share your biases, doesn't mean they are cognitively failing.

Now granted.  One's view on how horrible the bloodbath comment was, may be  greatly affect by how one feels about bozo?  And yet.  Reasonable, neutral minds  could be offended by the use of that bloodbath comment, even given the full context.   Never mind, that according to objective psychologists and people who just grade hard on that kind of violent shit.  The ex president I call bozo, is not what passes for a clear and thoughtful communicator.  So anyone who claims to be sure what the fuck he is saying, isn't. Very often.

Lastly.  As someone who got dinged for saying, "Burn the motherfucker down, metaphorically speaking," on FB.  I can attest to the fact.  Some people have no fucking tolerance for that violent rhetoric, even when the fact it is being used metaphorically is clearly stated.  (Which bozo never does, at first at least.)

But I was  likely dealing with a bot.

But that bot was created by a live human.  I guess.

The OWL is really too fucking willing to cut the crazy ex president slack.  That is how I see it.

Like a Broken Clock, Ann Althouse Can be Accidentally Right.

But she accidentally made a smart observation about something she really wasn't talking about.  On her blog, she has this train wreck habit of obsessing about truly drab, trite shit.  For example, her new, regular feature is curating Tiktok vids. Talk about shit the planet does not need.  But her accidental good observation was in some post based on some idiotic twitter non event regarding something Sam Harris said about the Hunter Biden laptop "conspiracy."

Firstly, there is nothing there there, about that fucking laptop until someone of impeccable reputation says  hey guys.  Actual, indicatable evidence of crimes. Here is a list.  After all, it isn't a conspiracy theory if you can prove it. And the other idiotic part of it is, who the fuck gives a fuck what Harris says about politics and law, and shit?  None of that is within his academic or professional wheelhouse!

Anyway, this story gets away from being trite when I mention that she observed that the particular over use of the word conspiracy in that matter, perhaps instead of being a declaration of fact, it is more of an analogy, to call that a conspiracy?  That is the bingo moment.

But I would say it is a baked in trait of Republicans, to misuse language that way.  They use the most negative and extreme words for people and things they oppose.  And they use the most excessive, exaggerated words to describe their claimed victimization when that is their spin. And so on, and so on.

They did not invent that shit. But they have expanded it to such a point that is it fair to say they used the words of English, but because of their peculiar group usage, it is a different dialect of the language.

So thanks  Ann.  I have been calling that dirty trick Republicans deliberately use, exaggeration and bullshit. But the term analogy helps clear shit up a bit.  The actual words they use in context are well described as exaggeration and bullshit. But the dialect is one where deliberately speaking in analogy instead of literally, is what is going on there.

You might have heard that bit about not taking DJT literally but take him seriously?  Well that dialect is how Republicans have communicated for decades.  He just took that shit to a whole new level.

And to act as if the Democratic party is anti capitalist?  Laughably dishonest.   Keep up with your evil,  dishonest party's current talking points, will you.

But to be generously fair, it is not as if right wing, Republicans are at all concerned with consistency of message.   

Earlier today, I went on at length on FB on the topic of trolling, and ended with the idea, you should own it and mean it.  I mean to troll Loury here.  I do that not because I think he is that bad a person.  My guess is that he is not that bad a person. 

But I troll him in particular as I believe with out any evidence , but for that part of his public record, and my credentials and experience in deconstructing performance.  I have a degree in theatre.  That is my first career.  In any case, I believe he does not believe in half the political shit he spews.  

I want to say only he knows the truth.  But ya know?  We will never know if he really knows now, will we?

 To explain.  There is a fauxtraversy over some law review refusing to publish some racist drivel from some known to harbor racist thoughts, law professor.  Some wing nuts are trying to frame this as some censorship thing.  As if publishers and their editors don't get to decide what they publish?

Racist With A Pretty Face, Megyn Kelly, Gives Up the Game!

 

I have said it before.  Megyn Kelly is my personally chosen representative for an example of meeting the minimum requirements of being flat out racist.  There are far worse out there, for sure,  But between  Santa is white, and what is the big deal about blackface? She has over the years been a fairly solid protector of whiteness as the default superior value in America.  And that really is all that is needed.  Or to take the issue from the other side. you don't have to be emotionally, never mind actually physically, violently opposed to not white people to be a white  American racist.  You just have to show an obvious bias, that demonstrates a clear preference for whiteness.  That is the core of white supremacy.  You don't have to lead or even just follow the lynch mob.  All you gots to do is honestly think, "Them people need to be more like us."

So I was reading some article on some blog/site I despise (oppo research)  and she was quoted from some anti CRT rant as saying . . .

What this really is about. What all this anti CRT racist bullshit is about, is a radical, revanchist redefinition of what constitutes racism, as that is the conclusion these white supremacists run to.  That CRT is racist, not white supremacy.  I call this revanchist, as for the most of the history of white people in America, what they like is what is good, and what they don't like is what is bad.  And white supremacists are upset that not white people are getting a say.  Their voices are being heard.  They are part of the narrative, more than ever, in their own terms.  And white supremacists hate that shit.  And they are fighting back!  

So if CRT, or any mere attempt to correct the pro white supremacy faux history of America makes white supremacists uncomfortable, that is bad to them.  That must be stopped, according to them.  That is the 'real' racism.  Making white supremacists uncomfortable is the real offense, not 500 years of white supremacist hegemony, and racist bullshit.  

Life in America for white supremacists is so hard nowadays.  Having to rely on white supremacist bullying tactics, to counter the narrative that white supremacy is everywhere?  So they have to fight the truth that that white supremacy is everywhere, by denying that white supremacy is everywhere.  And in doing so, attempt to preserve and maintain white supremacy, everywhere they can.

Fucking Stop Promoting Paid Trolls! Especially if You Ain't Getting a Cut!

I am not going to name names, because I am tired of that shit.  But a particular blogger is once again promoting, by way of publishing and linking, paid Republican trolls.  And I am just assuming that the blogger isn't getting a piece of the action.

The paid Republican troll is Bridget Phetasy.  One of those comedians no fucking one has heard of. And in saying that I mean no Netflix or HBO shows, or appearances on any of the traditional late night shows.  (Far as I can tell.  And Greg Gutfeld doesn't quite rate, as his audience is so politically, ideologically trollish and parochial.)  But she does have some credits, so she has not merely and only done podcasts and her You Tube Channel.  Anyway . . . 

So she must be a Republican hack who smears liberals  and gets small amounts of money from other Republicans for her owning the libs.  Because that is what passes for humor among Republicans.  I am reminded of one of my favorite Homer Simpson moments,  He is watching TV and something painful happens, and he says something to the effect of . . . I don't like that guy so that's funny.

But here is the paid troll part.  I googled her career.  In her own words:

 Like I said.   Paid Republican troll.

Why republish troll shit?  Seriously?  Why pretend trolling is anything but?  Oh. And sometimes she writes for the NY Post.  So she is suckling off both American Murdoch Family teats.  Among other Republican teats.  Paid Republican troll.

I am not letting racist adjacent Ann Althouse off the hook, as she keeps on promoting racist promoted, racist bullshit stories.

 

Because so much of the right wing bullshit she republishes is flat out white on not white, racist bullshit.  Her most recent infraction?  Posting about the Yale Law School nontraversey over the Native American student drawing the ire of the Black law student group for some pretty much obvious and widely know as historically white on not white racist bullshit cracks.  I won't quote directly but the email made some reference to a drug house, and Popeye's Chicken. We black and brown folk have been victim of that shit by the more racist white folk for years and years.  And I get why the black law students took offense, even if Ann Althose doesn't.  

As an aside, she needs to work on her  . . .  dare I call it selective color blindness?  I don't mean that literally.  I mean that in the general sense that she truly understands issues concerning white on not white racist bullshit and, pretty much anything about black and brown folk as badly as a four year old would know about the proper way to calibrate the control rods in a nuclear breeder reactor.

Let us mention the glaringly obvious.  She routinely falls for this shit.  The hook in this story is it involves one group of not whites  going after another not white.  White racists love that shit!  And beyond that, any time a white racist gets a chance to take a shot at black and brown folk is another thing they dearly, dearly, really love.  So who the fuck in their right mind would republish that shit without saying something along the lines of  . . . . here is yet another incident of white racists stirring the pot?

Again, this is why I use the phrase racist adjacent.  You don't have to be committed to the same racist bullshit goal as the white supremacists.  All you got to be is an accessory after the fact.

Shit.  I went long there.  I was supposed to get to the other part.  I don't have a link but recently Jon Stewart was reported to say something critical about reporting of these bullshit, divisive stories.  I think he has a point there.  

And about the Native American's weak assed defense?  Sorry for getting redundant, but I have been saying the following shit for decades.  Back in 1984 I graduated with a BA  in Theatre.  I did a little comedy acting and a little MC work.  Not rap MC.  MC as in, warm up the audience with some weak jokes, and introduce the acts, work.  So I technically was paid to tell jokes.  And with that authority I say:

Any time you go on stage, you take the risk of pissing people off.

Anytime you tell a joke, on stage or off, you take the risk of pissing people off.

Don't quit your day job.  Leave it to the professionals.

Professionals often fuck this shit up, by the way, and piss people off.

That last line is a new addition to the decades old advice.  Call this my first tacit reference to the shitstorm with Netflix and Chappelle.  And as well any situation where professionals fuck this shit up, and piss people off.  

And one last word.  The phrase, "Read the room," is now in play a lot.  And that, in regards to the reality that even professionals often fuck this shit up, and piss people off?  Never ever fucking ever assume that shit will stay in the room.  Shit will find a window, a door, a ventilation duct, and find its way out of the room.  Do not assume it will not!

Despite My Peeve About White People Who Know Nothing About Black and Brown People, Talking About Black and Brown People

I am not going to rag on a certain racist adjacent white lady blogger for continuing to talk about Black and/or brown brown people.  But to say this, and repeat myself in sum:  when white (lady bloggers) people talk about black and/or brown people, they prove how little they know about us, and give us increasing reasons to despise them and their disrespect for Black and/or brown people.  For your own good, shut the fuck up about black and brown people.  

Now for the main thing.  I had an idea about how Rush Limbaugh  and Newt Gingrich are two people who are most to blame for the shit show that is the GOP lately.  And in a related vein, the GOP is so unhinged from fact and reason they will celebrate the destruction of our democracy,  But I actually was looking for an image to go with my specific thought that Rush's evil plan is going on as he hoped even if he is dead. And that is how I found out that he was buried with military honors.  I find that to be disgusting but is there anything about the GOP lately that isn't?

My favorite part is when Charisse Burden-Stelly dismisses the CRT critics as:
