No Mas! He Has Gone From Accidentally Funny, To Pathetic.

 Many American Blacks, and people who have visited Black homes going back as far as the late 1960s, have seen some version of this image.  I will get to that in a minute.

But first, I am trying to be done with Glenn Loury.  I have had periods of time, over the past 10 or more years when I had him on mental ignore.  But he served as a passing adequate source of old school conservative talking points, and yes.  He was frequently accidentally funny when he went all white supremacist.  Defender and or enabler.  I would get bored of his shit.  I would take a break, and come back to his internet channel later, to see what he was up to.

For those of you who know, he was something like Uncle Ruckus, without being in denial about being black.   My opinion  (and assume everything here I say about him is just and only my idiotic opinion.)  But this time the trigger is so perverse, that I have switched the controls on YT to stop notifying me of Loury's latest shit posts.

Now to the reason why, and why the image. above.  Now Loury has a bad habit of getting histrionic, I would say even manic, at times, over his mental processes.  Not over reality.  Over the shit his mind processes.  Sure, he says nutzo shit like how he gets angry about his (Black) people.  But as far as I can tell, he gets angry at his (Black) people for not living the way "he just knows" they should be acting and living.  That is all in his own fucking head!  He is seemingly upset people are not doing what he wants them to do!  The distress is all him as . . .  wait for it . . .  a sane, rational person should not have that much trouble understanding that nobody gotta live their lives the way that one other person thinks they should.  

Granted, that is the core of contemporary GOP thought.  And dysfunction, And why they are evil.  But hey.  My default is, "You do you boo.  As long as you aren't actually hurting any other live human person."  So I take people who want to control other people as flat-out evil, because, that is what evil is.  Fucking with people's universal rights, and shit. But I digress.

Now to the picture,  Loury's last meltdown, observed by me this week.  He constructed in his own chemically damaged (by crack) brain, this nightmare fantasy (for him,) where the old MLK and Dead Kennedy's triple portrait was replaced by one where Kamala Harris was center, and MLK and Obama were flanking.  And he threw a fit, had a pretty damn near hysterical fit, over something he merely thought could happen.  Something which at that point in time, only seemed to exist in his chemically damaged (by crack) brain.  And it was such a fucking trivial thing!  That the mere thought of that imagined, trivial picture leading to emotional distress in someone, is to me, not a psychologist,  evidence of a seriously disturbed mind.

I am not going to tell his buddy, John McWhorter, what to do.  But if I had a friend who was having meltdowns over hypothetical, trivial wall hangings?  I would suggest they get some counseling.  And I would counsel them,  fucking don't post that vid.  McWhorter was in the vid.  He could have withdrawn consent for it to be published,

I Sunk His Rachet Battleship! Glenn Loury!

 Updating because. 

There are now two vid versions of the conversation.  Newer one has a different and less flat out odious title.  And I believe is shorter.  I did now watch either one for long, because of the Black on Black crime.  Sorta.

After finding the second version/cut.  I made another comment.  This time shorter, and focusing on the Black on Black crime, sorta.

I am now surprised it took me this long to associate Black Republicans with the Black on Black crime punchline.  I believe it was the brilliant Jessica Williams, back when she was still on The Daily Show, who first used the Black on Black crime, line, as a punch line and social commentary.

Later, when she was doing Two Dope Queens, she dropped the line in one of tbe commercials for that series.  That time it was clearly for shits and grins.

I have decided that it is the perfect judgement for the vicious and insulting way Black Republicans, the very much outliers of the American Black population, judge the rest of us.  And specifically target some of us.

Fuck them judgemental Black Republicans and their Black on Black crimes against the rest of us.

The Rise of Opt-In Blacks 

Of course, this was about the white supremacist attacks on Kamala Harris.  And of course, that rachet negro went there, and seemed to defend the line of attack.  All but bought into it himself, by mentioning it, but making a point of not totally buying into it.  Yet defended it,  As a Black someone, who has experienced that odious kind of Black on Black crime?  I really wanted to call him out.  But I did not say that, particularly.

Instead, I went after him for his minstrel "act,"  which I described as a Black man so desperate to be taken as an equal of white republicans, that he was willing to try and try again, and fail.  And was accidentally funny at it.  And because of that, he should never stop trying, and failing.

And he deleted the post.  I will end there.

I don't have time to read biographies of people I don't respect, unless

 Someone pays me.  That is what I basically do for a living. I read shit you would have to pay me to read.

More is the point. I don't favor biographies. Specifically autobiography.  That sub genre is about as suspect as it gets.  Particularly, when the autobiographer has an ego that is several orders of magnitude above his meager accomplishments.

So I ain't never fucking ever gonna read Glenn Loury's doorstop. 

I read two reviews of it today. Even the one written by a political admirer remarks how much of an unflattering picture Loury on Loury drew of himself.  I don't know for sure.  But seems to me.  This blowhard who not only is a self appointed intellectual.  But also is a self appointed moral agent, at least when he wants to tell other people how they should live.  Because that is what Republicans do no matter how bad material they are, for moral fiber sources.  But more based on the observations of the reviewer in the NYT piece.  Loury seems to admire his own inner thug, and history of his street life.

Sounds like pretty sad shit to me.  And the disturbingly hilarious part of the whole perverse spectacle?  Loury has, seemingly, no idea how sad he is.  Even if he gave up crack years ago.  He comes across as still something of a crack head.  

I don't say that to be insulting. Oftentimes, the main difference between a still crack head and an ex is just the not smoking crack anymore, part.  Note, I do not mean to say every recovering crack addict will always have the personality of a crack head, for life.  But until now, I just took Loury for a delusional, egotistical, narcissist with above average intelligence, but not even a tiny bit of actual genius, who at the same time, was resentful that most of the world clearly was not impressed by him.  And he thinks they should.  However, viewing him as a recovering crack addict?  It makes sense to me now, how he seems to be so clueless to the actual, objective impression he makes on the wider swath of humanity.

And for what ever fucked up reasons.  And there is scholarship on this point, specifically due to the right wing popularity of that human dumpster fire I call bozo, or the Leper Messiah,  The previous president?

Right wingers love them some toxic personalities. So Loury gets some superficial love from the right wing.  Because he is useful for their white supremacist agenda.  But otherwise, he is a not very likeable person who just wrote a book about how not very likeable he is, actually.  As I frequently say or at least think.  There is a market for that shit.  I am not that market.

Like I said.  Sad.

A new book that shows you are white supremacist enablers.  With that shit you say, when you say that stupid assed shit about the superiority of so called Western Culture.  All you really need to know is:

Moorish conquest happened, and ended the fucking Dark Ages,  you morons!

Honestly.  I consider any man, woman, non binary, or other being who thinks so called Western Culture is superior, as too stupid to waste my time talking to.

I am tagging the OWL.  Because to me she seems like that kind of white lady.  Now she to my knowledge, hasn't said anything as flat out idiotic as the two Black professors have about so called about Western Culture.  But.  I am not expecting her to be the kind of rational and objective person to know and confirm.  If there is anything at all superior about so called Western Culture it is because all of it comes from places either South and or East of the West.  But if she is, sorry in advance!

Sad part of this is excepting unless one grew up an an extremely backward part of America, in the 50s though now.  You should have learned the core facts about this, by end of 9th grade.  Even if American text books tend to be biased.  

New Book on Myth of So Called Western Civilization 

 

It's as Insane as Believing in The Lizard People.

Believing that there actually is a thing called western culture, never mind believing it is superior.

First, the quickies:

 The Dark Ages only happened in Western Europe,

the Eastern Roman Empire remained civilized, and greatly Eastern, culturally.

The renaissance wasn't the rebirth of European culture.  That was just when some Florentines came up with some interesting painting techniques, as

The real rebirth happened when the Moors and other North African Muslims conquered the Iberian Peninsula, and brought the following to the savages:

        math, engineering, architecture, medicine, literature, music, dance, fine and decorative arts,                   education, hygiene, sciences, astronomy, cuisine.

This is why as of today, I am saying belief in the superiority of western culture is as insane as believing in lizard people.  The evidence that so called western culture is Eastern, Middle Eastern, North African culture in origin, is incontrovertible.  Particularly if you are a middle aged or older adult who has spent your career in academia.  And have been surrounded by this evidence on a daily basis.  For years and decades.   And that leads to my point about how I hope to never be in a room with either Professors Loury or McWhorter.  Because both have made public allegiance to the mythical lie that so called western culture is superior to others.  As crazy as believing in lizard people!

Granted, just because of where I live, I am more likely to run into McWhorter.  But I should avoid talking to him because I think that anyone, never mind a Black, who believes western culture is superior to others is too fucking stupid a person for me to waste a minute talking too.  And in my free time I have actually war gamed it out.  Basically, but for perhaps some relatively obscure facts about the Muslim Caliphate in Iberia?  I would not tell any professor any thing they have not already been exposed to.  So why should I waste my time if given the chance to waste my time thusly?

It's like the experts say.  It is a waste of time to try to educate someone who has given into some conspiracy theory.  That is why I am making the link to lizard people believers.  It's the same kind of  emotionally stubborn stupidity, but for a different untrue belief.

I am less than obsessed but curious about Blacks who to my mind have an ugly and obvious case of  colonial victim Stockholm syndrome;  Over identifying with the so called western colonial oppressor's  so called culture. Granted.  The pressure is hard.  Assimilate!  Fit in!  Be more like a white TV family! But this is the 21st Century.  And we do have the internet.  There a many videos and essays on line explaining human civilization and history.  There really is no excuse not to get the basics about how so called civilization did not spring out of western Europe.  It was brought there!

But I would like a better term than colonial victim Stockholm syndrome.

Did not find any candidates.  So until I or anyone else comes up with better?  Colonial victim Stockholm syndrome.   Oh.  But I am a Star Trek fan.  And there is the evil species that assimilates others, and makes them into drones.  Yeah.  Drone works.  But I doubt it will go viral. But I have tried before.  I have some friends with bigger platforms  and audiences.  And I can always comment  on big media sites.

Anyway, as of today he posted two clips on YT.  That I will not suffer.  

One bore the headline Obama was an empty suit.  The other was about the judgment (right wing white supremacist talking point) that Anti Racism is a scam.

First the trolling of P. Obama.  I don't mean to demean teaching generations of young minds as accomplishing nothing in life.  So let me say but for what ever good he did as an academic? He hasn't done dick.  Next to P. Obama.  Loury sold out for nigger money, and his conservative books and conservative awards will soon be forgotten.  He will never get the status of Thomas Sowell.  And that negro ain't shit, even.

And the "antiracism is a scam" troll?  What is a bigger scam than Republican/conservative publishing?  There is that famous 1971 memo  by Lewis Powell to the US Chamber of Commerce,  that is a road map for capitalist pig dog domination of politics in America.  It called for the creation of conservative think tanks, and other kinds of conservative institutions and terrorist cells, to poison the nation with pro capitalist pig dog nonsense. And work done for the likes of them is basically Loury's side hustle, like

Anti Trans Prejudice and Bigotry is Fucking Lame. Don't do it!

I can't be sure, as who can be sure about shit on the internet?  But it seems that following their video featuring bigoted and prejudiced anti trans bile being taken down from YT?  The professors disabled the comment section on the blogging heads page re that session.   I don't know if this is temporary.  I suspect professor Loury is at least angry on being censored.  I hope he does realize he crossed the line into bigoted and prejudiced content.

Unfortunately we are in one of those moments in American life and times, when some of the Republicans are digging in on some old fashioned bigoted and prejudiced views.  It's a shame that the father of a gay son has that much trouble giving people slack to be who they are, even when it seems to go against the usual ways.  But that is the problem, as I got into on my FB today.  In short, nature/biology does not work in only a binary way.  It throws up and out variations. It is the ultimate diversity generator.  You don't have to like it, but to deny that is just motherfuckingly ignorant.

Anyway, below find what I tried to post, particularly following the prejudiced and bigoted comments about the video being pulled, and the trans related issues, from the usual suspects over there on Loury's channel.  But the current "conditions" would not let me:

 Just because you deeply and truly believe a thing, does not mean it is not prejudiced or bigoted. Oddly enough or not, that might make it more likely to be a prejudiced or bigoted thought.

My guess is the vid was taken down on account that some of the opinions expressed were found to be prejudiced, and or bigoted against trans people. Disagree with that all you like. But I am operating out of the text book definitions. Ironically humorously, the portion of the session that is still up on YT features the tag line, "Your feelings are not facts." I suggest those are words to live by, professors.

Get Off My Lawnism is Fucking Lame. Just Fucking Stop it!

 So earlier this week I went off my discipline and remarked on some vid featuring both Glenn Loury and John McWhorter.  Now the "notes" I chose to give them are not the point.  However, I am going to call them both out here for the same lame, cognitive and behavioral error.

Both are essentially cranky old men.  Now you don't have to be actually old, to act like a cranky old man.  Decades ago, I remember reading some piece about the young fogeys.  The idea was that young Republicans, in adapting the beliefs and mannerisms of their elder Republicans, essentially became cranky old folk.

And I could go long, but I will try to be brief.  No matter your age, when your way of engaging with the world is to complain about people who don't live their lives as you want them to?

You have become a cranky old man, woman, person, shit.

I have to note that people are free to be a cranky old man, woman, person, shit.  But fucking no one generally loves them.  As soon as a crank starts a crank that people disagree with, the odiousness of the cranky person is obvious.  But if they crank on something agreed with and or about?  They are tolerable.  Until they say something not on the other party's crank worthy list.

I am reminded of the old George Carlin joke about how anyone driving slower than you is a fucking asshole  but anyone who drives faster than you is fucking crazy.  It's that kind of dynamic.

Anyway.  Feel free to be a cranky shit if that is you doing you.  But understand the dynamic.  And that means most people will find you tiresome and well dull, most of the time.  Because that is what cranky shits are.

One last jab at another offender. Bill Maher?  this includes you too, babe.  But honestly  you are playing at a higher level.  Like drunk uncle at the bar after his 5th beer, level.

White Entitlement to be Cruel. It's What they Want!

 I will only briefly mention the old white lady. It was on her blog, I noticed a post dealing with the Bud Lite transgender influencer, train wreck.

First things first.  I despise Republicans.  They give me so many reasons to despise them.  And if one of those reasons is not under the category of hypocrisy, it likely falls under the category of cruelty/hate.  If not both.

For this exercise, let us lead with hypocrisy.

Republicans say they care about so called free speech.  And yet they wage their culture war on people who dare have different thoughts and beliefs than they do.

They say political difference needs to be tolerated, when it is them, though, specifically when they are being cruel and hateful.  (We will get back to this part.) But and again, they wage their culture war on people who do not share their socio political biases and prejudices.  That is what this anti woke shit is all about.  It is blatant, and obvious.  And it more resembles a 21st Cent. Witch Hunt than any thing they call a Witch Hunt.

So let's get back to the trigger event.  I have got back in the habit of maybe a couple, two times a week, on average, taking a peek at the commenters section on the old white lady's blog. While I mention her, I still call her out for maintaining a safe space for white supremacist, hate mongering, shit faced, dick nosed white trash.  (I can't use that term on FB. But I can here!  Vive la difference!)  In any case, usually when I do that, I start off with the default setting:

read until he first lie, or flat out hateful shit you see.  

But sometimes I stick to it a little longer.  so I get a full reset and refresh on the matter of why it is only fitting and proper to despise Republicans.

(Let me check.)  Eight posts in, I find this post.  And before I post his words, at least this particular white supremacist, hate mongering, shit faced, dick nosed white trash isn't hiding his true feelings:  There goes your proof.

No one really cares about Mulvaney. there is no organized opposition to him as an individual. The opposition is to the movement that would cancel me for referring to Mulvaney as him. It was a boycott of Bud Light, not Mulvaney. Focusing in on Mulvaney is exactly what the Left wants you to do.

There goes your proof.  I's not even about the target of the attack.  It is about their sense of entitlement  to be cruel and hateful.  I am sure many of them truly despise anyone who they feel is inferior to them, and will go to any length of deceit and deception to oppose people who are different.  But yeah.  Some of them are in it just for the shits, and giggles of being cruel and hateful. They feel entitled to be cruel and hateful.  They care more for that than being a good citizen, a decent person, or even a good Christian.  

Before I end this.  And I likely would not last that well and long in a debate with Jonathan Haidt, the Psychology professor who argues that Republicans, conservative are not wicked, but just have a different sense of morality.  I would not last long as my refutation of that argument mostly is:

what the fuck kind of morality is it, where the group and its members claim superiority because their leader says they are superior, and gives them, either directly, because the leader is alive, or through the sacred texts, because the leader is invisible magic people in the sky, the sacred right to be cruel and hateful?  I am calling bullshit!

By that definition of morality, every evil movement, nation, clan, or mere tribe in history gets the cover of being an alternative moral unit.  I repeat calling bullshit.

Well, and the irony hit me, just now.  The only justification for the existence of the GOP is the most disgusting sort of moral relativism.  Which those guys say they hate.  Which brings us right back to the hypocrisy part.  That is used to defend the being cruel and hateful part.

And so on, and so on . . .

One of my stock phrases of late goes like:

 I have been a good boy, avoiding watching listening to either McWhorter or Loury.  I still peek at the comments to their vids, as I am hoping for some good if harsh analysis, reaction.

I know about Glenn's wimpy whining about not getting the recognition he believes he deserves.  And John saying as much or at least close to that, about himself.  After all.  John is the guy who wrote a slam book about people who he previously admitted really did not like him, and the feeling was mutual.

Anyway,  This is the first I heard about the cock blocking.  If true how  . . .   corny!  But seriously.  I don't know much about women but for they like what and who they like for what ever static or dynamic reasons, on a one by one basis.

So Glenn Loury Yet Again Hosted Notorious White Supremacist, Amy Wax.

 Despite the shininess of the troll play, I stuck to my provisional decision to not watch his trash.  Because he hurts my pretty brain.  

I do allow myself a peek at the comments.  He was met with praise from some quarters. Let's call them the white trash faction.  And he got some contempt and ridicule from the other side.  Call them the voices of reason, and high standards.

In a related story.  Last night I watched a documentary featuring a Scots academic on the origins and history of the Klan.  Who started off not with lynching, but worked their way to that ugliness, starting first with protecting their idea of their "culture."   Nazis started off that way too.  But we need not spend that much time rehashing my old proofs.  According to the US  DOJ Civil Rights Division, discrimination based on culture is the same as that based on race, ethnicity or national origin  (see my screen cap.)  It's the world wide definition based on the UN Declaration against Racial Discrimination  as well.  Not only should law professor  Wax  know this, and know that whenever she criticizes culture she is engaging in white supremacist discrimination, even if not necessarily a crime, as individual people do not violate the law merely by holding insidious points of view.  I accuse Loury of knowing this, not because he is some kind of expert having written books about race.  But because he has been in academia for decades.  He has been given the work books, and the emails  and likely has attended several trainings over the years.

The pseudo-intellectual's guide

Dedicated to both professors, Glenn Loury and John McWhorter.  I have given up on consuming their publishing, for now at least.  Greatly based on this reason, but as well , there is more.  That whole  hurts my pretty brain thing?

My one major addition to this vid's substance?

How to tell if someone else is a pseudo-intellectual?  They call them self an intellectual.  

And just in case someone wants to believe I am just being jealous?  My dream job is not their gigs.  My dream job is being a writer/crew on some TV show like SNL, any of the major network late shows.  Basically any show that uses current affairs as the inspiration and topic source, as long as the show is sufficiently liberal.  And shot here in the Greater NYC area.

Fuck living anywhere else.  Unless and until I need to flee the country.  Which might be the case come 2025.  I have all but given up on America.  But that is a topic for another post.

The Needs of My Pretty Brain Demands it!

 To go on indefinite break from Glenn Loury.   His house negro act is too much for my pretty brain.  Particularly lately, as the SCOTUS has now gone full sedition mode.  There is an obvious line between interpreting the US Constitution, and rewriting it.  Them motherfuckers have crossed the line into sedition, far as I am concerned.  But I mostly digress.

I won't watch his vids, but I will scan the comments to see if he is getting properly flamed.  And this image serves that end quite nicely.  

And just over the weekend, I was explaining how having $10M is not being rich.  Not even close.  Not even a little rich.  I personally would never sell out for any amount of money, but  Loury comes cheap.  He likely isn't clearing $200,000.00 at Brown.  He ain't the Dept. Head. 

In theory, he could pull in a couple two three hundred thousand more in appearance fees.  But he isn't selling many books, nor is he likely making crazy money on line.  So he is living life merely approaching the lower of the upper bourgeois.  Merely being a lower millionaire these days is merely upper middle class in America.  So says  a large amount of the mere millionaires in America.  As I frequently say, if you are not really a master of the world, you are just a servant.  

But some servants are better paid than others.

So ya.  He is so the fuck far away from being actually rich  he is closer to being poor.  Anyway, I love this meme.

  

What Do We Know about Diversity? | Glenn Loury & John McWhorter | The Gl...

EDIT TO ADD:

In my rush to call bullshit on these two 'knuckleheads', I forgot what I just heard Briahna Joy Gray say, over the past couple weeks.  Ivy's "pad" their "diversity" admissions  with foreign born students who usually are from the upper crust of their countries, but just have more melanin than the usual Prep School brats.  There is data that backs this up!  So just about everything these knuckleheads' assert in the vid is bullshit.

Really strange shit going on here.  Do both professors have no fucking idea how either admissions works, generally, or how bell curves work?

I worked in my law school's admission office during my first year.  I became well versed wit the conversion book.  Because a 3.7 GPA from Dartmouth is not the same as a 3.7 GPA from Ball State.  Just saying. And as far as bell curve theory goes?  Kids trying to get into undergrad programs from the 10%  in top 10% schools are more in common than not.  That means the kids  in the 99%tile are not really all that smarter than those in the 90th to 98%tiles.  That is the bell curve part.  Correct me if you got evidence to the contrary.

Kids from the mid never mind bottom of high schools are not coasting into Brown or Columbia.  I dare either professor to check the stats at the schools they work at.  Fuck the anecdotal "evidence."  Go to the admissions department, and if they are not very likely to just spit out the data, makes friends with a work study student.  They know!

When in HS, I did ask for a few Ivy league packets.  Did not even bother to waste my money on the fee.  I did not see myself getting over the other black kids with solid A averages, who likely would be applying, too.  

Thousands of them.  So I am calling bullshit on both professors.  You don't even have to pull out a calculator.  Just think about the context and likely numbers form an objective POV.  Just fucking ignore the fucking white supremacist narrative!

Just another instance of people who should fucking know better than to spit out anecdotal "evidence"  and what people assume is the truth,  who should have done the research before they talk about shit in public.

Earlier today, I went on at length on FB on the topic of trolling, and ended with the idea, you should own it and mean it.  I mean to troll Loury here.  I do that not because I think he is that bad a person.  My guess is that he is not that bad a person. 

But I troll him in particular as I believe with out any evidence , but for that part of his public record, and my credentials and experience in deconstructing performance.  I have a degree in theatre.  That is my first career.  In any case, I believe he does not believe in half the political shit he spews.  

I want to say only he knows the truth.  But ya know?  We will never know if he really knows now, will we?

Why Fucking Law Professor Amy Wax's Fucking Remarks About Fucking Cultural Superiority

fall within the Federal definition of racial discrimination.  And why it is perfectly appropriate to call her and anyone who agrees with her, a white supremacist, or enabler.
