Lying Crooked Scalia

According to Ass. Justice Scalia, regarding the decision in the "Citizen's United," case, “Jefferson would have said, ‘The more speech, the better.’”

However, and in seemingly direct contradiction, Jefferon said: “The end of democracy an...d the defeat of the American Revolution will occur when government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed incorporations.”

Can we impeach Scalia yet?

Let's Play Jeopardy. The Answer: Just Tell Them What the Constitution Actually Says.

Abs hits  his buzzer and says,"What is how do you piss off a Wing Nut?"

Poor Ann Althouse.  Over the past day she did what she does now and then.  She says something I agree with.  Usually this occurs when she talks about law, and a rule of law so universally understood by lawyers, that only a dishonest one would disagree.  And she did that on one aspect of the, as I call it, not a religious liberty matter but rather: The War on Worker's Rights to Be Free of Employer Meddling With Their Insurance Coverage,  matter.  (Like how I framed the issue?)

She called out the wing nut redneck horde, particularly Rush Limbaugh, for finding/declaring some invisible, actually imaginary  broad right to Religious Liberty in the actually narrow Free Exercise Clause.

And I say poor her, because I went and looked at the comments, and some of her minions  are attacking her.  For accurately stating the current and historical and actual meaning  and limited nature of the Free Exercise Clause.

Sucks to be  near wing nuts. I don't recommend it, unless one is itching for a fight with idiots.
Go Here for That Shit.

Karen Handel is a Monstrous Liar!

Karen Handel, formerly of the Komen Foundation speaks, I mean lies!

Liar liar liar.  Pants on fire.  I am not saying all republicans are liars of this magnitude.  But everyone who is spewing that lie about how PP  coerced  Komen, and the straw man argument about charities being able to spend their money how they like (tacit argument  -- with out the pesky part of having to answer to anyone else  -  and that  is so bull shitty, it's a lie too,) is a big fat pants on fire liar.  Even if Komen,  as an organization, was a unskilled David going against the giant Goliath that PP is, it really was not PP who had their say.  And I will explain that it was the stakeholders  who were the real victors here.

Let me break it down.  This evil liar here(Handel) used to be in government.  An as everyone involved in government knows, institutions and issues  have stakeholders. That includes charities, particularly those who solicit contributions from the public, a Komen does.  And that's one way how you get stakeholders. That kind of charity is a gatekeeper, only.  It's not the bank.  Here, the public is the bank.  To make any argument against that plain fact is a lie of monstrous proportion.

And in this case, the offended stakeholders made their anger known.  The bank roared and the gate keeper responded.  Granted, the fight is not over, and the damage Komen did to itself is huge.  But this wasn't coercion. It wasn't thuggery.  It wasn't extortion.  It was the democracy of the marketplace.  Funny how some  (and I man so the hell many) republicans claim to love both democracy and the marketplace, but when push comes to shove, they hold both in rank, utter contempt. Horrible hypocrites.

I Was on a Tear on My FB Wall.

More on the Komen Wing Nut Political Hackery story, and then contraception gate. Turns out that anti choice,  anti Planned Parenthood hack concocted the  broad no funds  for anyone under investigation-rule,  to excuse the cuts  to PP.  And she thought she was going to get enough cover with that that they could not be accused of acting politically.

What a dishonest idiot.

This is what you get when you hire a political hack to do what should be a professional  lawyer/lobbyist/Government Affairs executive's job.  Shit.  I just got to checking her bio.  She's uneducated.  (How the fuck did she get to be  Secretary of State of Georgia  with out being a lawyer at least?  The entire fucking job is legal wonkery.  Well, some political hackery if one swings that way.  But on paper it's a lawyer wonk job.)

Anyway, moving past that, there's contraceptive gate.  Cause, according to wing nuts at least, refusing to grant a groundless exception to the general rules for the civic marketplace to religious organizations engaging in commerce in the civic marketplace is not only religious discrimination, but a war on religious liberty.  Again,  wing nuts  and lies.  Isn't there some commandment against that?

Go here  for vid of Rachel Maddow going after some lying assed wing nut, on "Meet The Press."

Oh and in other news, the home team won the Superbowl  thing.  I just could not get excited.  I was burnt out on the very idea of the thing, by several days ago.

Anyway, that's all for now.

Screw Linking It.

Ok. Arctic Cyborg Sarah Palin is just furious at the amount of GOP on GOP violence, in the primary. So she says, as she commits her own violence on the GOP establishment.

What is worse is that some people think this is news, and not on account of the irony.  That kind of person would naturally miss the irony.

Just Say No To Racist Enablers. Or Cuss The Fuckers Out.

Time to go off on the dicknosed fucker I refer to as that wing nut professor.  He considers himself a self appointed guardian against what he calls,"Trumped up charges of racism."  And he ends his post with the most ignorant and racist enabling of shit eating bullshit:

"Because when the race card is played against one of our candidates, it is played against all of us."
I mean really?  No one from stormfront or the Ron Paul Redneck Neo-Confederate Faction jacked your account?  You really stand by this shit?  For Fuck's Sake. Give it Up You Racist-Enabler.

Granted.  I love to cuss.  And racism, and those who condone, excuse, or defend such are high up on my shit list.  I feel no guilt in cussing out a mother fucker who is defending  plain on it's face racism.

Now really.  The ad is not attacking Romney for the racist organization his grandfathers  were in.  Not even the racist organization his daddy was in.  Nor is it attacking Romney for the racist organization he was involved in as a child  (potentially against his free will.)  What Romney is being attacked there for is being an adult in a racist institution.  He is being accused and rightly so, of going to a college that practiced racial segregation.

Again.  Any fucking idiot who does not get the fucking facts here.  Romney went to a college that practiced racial segregation, racial discrimination against people on account of their races.

That is not trumped up.  That is a fact.  And there is a presumption his conduct in the past gives rise to.  And that presumption is that he was perfectly ok with the Mormon Church's racist practices and positions, before they changed them.  Does this mean he is a blatant racist?  More likely a negligent one.  At least that is the rational inference for someone who attends a racially discriminatory college run by a racially discriminatory institution.

Now does that end the story?  Oddly but true, compared to some of those other fuckers still in the race, Romney comes across as one of the least rednecky racist.  But I can not really know what he feels deep down inside.  I doubt he would be with me on the barricades, merely on account of being GOP.  But he does come across as negligently  racist, at least, even if not badly, blatantly  racist.  And for the record I consider negligently racist as not really anti black/brown, but still really doesn't give a fuck about whether or not black/brown/other non white people are actually being treated fairly in America.  Compare that to Pat Buchanan who is so scared that the whites are losing control of America that he fucking wrote a book whining about the inevitable fact.

So let's get back to the professor.  Now it is one thing if he wants to give a pass to the institution of the Mormon Church, for being more then 10 years behind the Federal Government on racial equality.  If that is what the fuck faced ferret actually believes, I am not going to change his racist enabling twisted mind.  But to call the ad trumped up requires  one to be a liar of such factually  denying a level as to be nothing better than a lying assed fuck face weasel.  In addition to being a racist enabler.

I got it out of my system.  And I feel better for it.

Mittens' Dog Whistle: "Hang Him."

Yesterday I typed out a post regarding Mitt Romney's (so called) gaff, in making an extended metaphor regarding hanging things around P. Obama's neck, like the famous Albatross in the S.T. Coleridge poem. And Mittens ended up saying, "Hang him with that," and immediately pulled his punch with weasel words.

Anyway, I decided to sit on the draft, and did not publish it. Partially, I held my horses back, as I got off on a tangent about Ann Althouse -- her post on her blog set a fire under my ass. I chose to hold back, hoping one of her commenters would point out her misremembering misunderstanding of the meaning of the word lynch. And one did. Kudos to that sharp knife in that drawer.

Also, kudos to the bright commenter who called out Mittens as knowing full well what he was doing. I agree. I just now watched the vid, and I agree. No mistake there. He was engaging in a racist dog whistle with deliberate intent, if not having practiced delivering the line. I am not going to say my theatrical training in the acting arts means I can always call out an actor acting. That would be claiming too much. But I will say what I know about good actors and the best actors. You can see the work, watching a good actor. You don't see the work, you don't see the effort, watching a great actor. And I am going to say, as far as the political stage is concerned, Mittens is one of the greats.

Anyway, that is the set up. So let me now get to the real point. As there is no reasonable doubt, really, that Mittens was deliberately blowing the racist dog whistle there, and this is definitely not the last time we will hear that racist dog whistle from the GOP Contenders and Wannabes, comes the following question:

How far out racist need any GOP Contender or Wannabe get, before the others pounce on him or her like a piece of red meat tossed in the tiger cage?

They all want to run against P. Obama. And this time the nerve to push harder against the racist taboos seems higher already than last time (and that was ugly enough!) But eventually these chuckle-headed clowns will have to understand the following fact. They have to run against each other, before they get to run against P. Obama. So is there some objective point where the dog whistles get too far out there, or will we just have to wait and see who pounces on whom for what crack? I'm thinking wait and see.

There are few blood sports I enjoy, but I do enjoy GOP Gladiator Contests. Or maybe the better analogy is a pack of hungry, feral dogs, pouncing on the weakest member of the pack, for a snack? I'll be well entertained, once that starts. And if what happened to Mr. Comb Over during the Press Corp party leads to the pack smelling blood from that critter, and if the rest start to pounce, then we will know, it's on!

(And I did not start out trying to throw in as many metaphors as I could. It just worked that way. A subtle bit of commentary, I am thinking.)

Like I Said Earlier, Trust The Comics . . .

Headline of the week, courtesy of those snarky larks over at Wonkette:

"President Caught On ‘Hot Mic’ Saying Things He Should Just Say In Public."

Granted, I think the staff over at Wonkette are not true comics/comedians in the classic sense of the word. But their enterprise is more one of intended to be funny than intending to be serious political commenters. And sometimes I think their collective humor sensibilities are too . . . what's the word I am thinking . . . too much of an inside joke to have broad appeal. But I think they have been getting generally better. Or maybe I am getting their inside jokes better, from osmosis of continued and repeated exposure.

Anyway . . . . And as has long been the case in the wide world, the most funny stuff has not only a germ of truth to it, but has a lot of truth to it. But before I break that part down, and the President's statements as well, let's recap the lyin' liars of the GOP bullshit. Echoing the old line attributed to some Vietnam War Era commander, "We had to bomb the village to save it," the GOP, through Looks-Like-A-Meth-Head, Lyin' Ryan recently proposed to save the Medical Insurance Plan known as "Medicare" by converting it from a Medical Insurance Plan into a voucher plan. Lying assed scumbag weasels. Oh. And the irony in that plan is it closely resembles the dreaded "ObamaCare," as those shits call it. Save, that the one plan requires the younger (healthier) folk to have insurance, and gives them the voucher if they need it. As opposed to the GOP plan, which requires the needy of care elderly to bankrupt themselves. Remember Death Panels? This GOP plan is worse than Death Panels. It's a Death Scheme.

That's the premise. Then P. Obama, actually quite mildly, rebuked Lyin' Ryan's proposal during his speech, earlier this week. More irony. The collective wail out of the wing nuts was that P. Obama was (as Limbaugh said it) bitch slapping Ryan (with out mentioning his name once, mind you.) So I guess Lyin' Ryan is their "Anointed One." Criticize the holes and lies and inhuman policies in his plan and it's HERESY! Ya. These people are that sick.

But on to the Wonkette quote. In an allegedly closed donor meeting, P. Obama made some critical (yet again mildy so) statements about the GOP. The GOP freaked. And that not only is funny, considering the depth and volume of hate he has endured from those shits. But for peeps like me, for Yella Dog Dems, our reply to that was:

About fucking time!

And it proves one of my favorite tactical theories. Keep the pressure on those shit-headed, lying-assed, bully-bigots, and you win. I hope this means that if it is not yet time when Obama takes the gloves off, he at least now knows, it's a fight. And it's a street fight.

Go get 'em, Tiger.

Let the Class War Begin!

Wing nuts are touting and parroting the line of the day, that P. Obama's speech was demagogic. Because telling people that he was not going to let the budget be fixed on the backs of the middle class, working class, poor, and elderly with out making the millionaires pay more.

That's what passes for demagogy, if you are Rush Limbaugh, Charles Krauthammer, or Rep Paul Lyin' Ryan. Oh. I decided to call him that before the CBO came out with the proof, that I was on the nose, with that nic for the truth and arithmetically challenged Mr. Ryan. (But I won't pat myself on the back. That was grasping for low hanging fruit, calling a GOP Congress Critter a liar when it comes to, just about anything, actually.)

Oh. Anyway, as I said above, Let the Class War Begin. But not violently. If you run into any rich people not your boss, client, or anyone important in your life, sneer at them with contempt and disdain. Shout the battle cry of the sans-culotes. Say that Robespierre and Danton were right. Sing a line or two of L'Internationale. Let them fat cats know that the days we support them are going to end.

At least, put up a good show of resistance.

So There Will Be Less Glenn Beck on Fox (not) News Channel.

That's progress, but I would like to see less, as in none at all, Fox (not) News at all. I have said it before, but not here. If I have a chance to meet P. Obama, after the introductions, I will say to him, "I am not speaking to the POTUS when I say the following, but the leader of the Democratic Party: Something must be done about Fox."

And to explain here, I am not talking unconstitutional First Amendment shit. I am talking extreme but legal political push back. We need to counter them at least, if we can't destroy them. And destruction is fine by me. I would love to see all those overpaid, hack, on air talents (*cough*) I mean partisan, lying assed weasels off the air, and the managers gone. But I would like to see the techs and crew to keep their gigs. So I am fine with a change in management from the top level of the channel, perhaps a buy out by some players who will better represent the changing demographics of the Nation, away from outlaw/redneck/wing nut tastes to brown "new" Americans. Something like a joint venture between some Indian entertainment corps and a Latin American media concern. Instead of that awful, Nation-murdering, brain killing, bullshit fake news, we'd have Bollywood musicals and Mexican Masked Wrestler movies. And more novellas. Ya. That would be a move in the right direction.

Let's Talk Budget, and Other Things Never to Trust a Republican About.

(As if there is any area or subject one can reasonably trust a GOPer about.)

Firstly, the thing that has been buzzing around my head since the GOPers started this season's Chicken Little routine, about how the sky was falling, and how that means we have to slash gvt. spending. These pukes have a not only bias against Federal spending, but that is one of the pillars of the philosophy of modern conservatism. They believe on the best of days (for the Federal Fisc) that smaller is better, and that means that less spending (on things they don't really like, which is most everything that helps real people and real workers, not the corporate and monied classes,) is the way to go. Knee-jerk, default. 24/7/365.

So when they sing basically the same song, but there is a deficit "crisis," well it's the same shit kids, different day. Let's not pretend they are even remotely the voice of reason here. They are the voice of extremist anti (Federal, at minimum) government. They are modern day descendants of the British outlaws, just as conservative writer Thomas Sowell opines in his essay/book about rednecks.

So here comes the quote of the week. And it is that because well, it totally supports my corollary to the Sowell redneck theory. They are government-hating outlaws and bandits, at heart. Anyway, the following, in an exchange between Ceynk Uygur, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, as retold by one of the editors at Mediaite:

"Sen. Sanders called the Republican tax cut policy “Robin Hood in reverse.”"

Ya. That pretty much nails it.

Granted, Sen. Sanders speaks the truth in the segment, far as I see it. I am sick and tired of otherwise well meaning folk acting like trying the meet these GOP lying assed weasels halfway is anything but a capitulation. Because it is. You don't entertain the crazy person's delusions, well, not unless that is required to save your or someone else's life that is in current peril. Moving away from the metaphor, the problem with giving these GOP bastids an inch on their delusional macroeconomic theories is that by doing so you are legitimizing a demonstrably false economic theory. And that is bad for the Nation.

I'll stop there for now. No wait. One last thing. That weasel Ryan? Who's pushing a new soak the workers and the poor, budget? Hate him, but that is not the point. He's trying to gut Medicare? So hey, somebody tell me, where's that Teabagger with his/her sign saying

"Keep Your Government Hands Off My Medicare?"

Really!

Definitions Matter. Fuck.

I'm telegraphing my real ox to gore there, but I could have posted this link to this vid featuring chatter about Michelle Bachmann for several reasons. I'm going with the false flag of sexism, Ms. Rubin plays, though.

Bachmann's a joke, but not according to everyone.

Firstly, I am tired of fucktard wing nuts changing the meanings of words to fit them better into their linguistically demented, bullshit arguments. No, ya bunch of lying assed bozos. Every time someone criticizes some human who has a nice matched pair of X chromosomes, that is not fucking sexism. Some people are clownish. Bachmann is Clownish. Palin is clownish. In the case of these two clowns imagine the following. Imagine how much shit a man would get if they had either clown's personality and ran around saying the stupid assed shit they do? Sexism my ass!

Seems to me GOPers/wing nuts really love that shit. Not only in the particularly odious context of creating a fake victimology meme. But it seems they only way some of them can (in their warped little brains) 'score a point.' I'll stop there for now. this is one of my deepest longest pet peeves. I swear. Fucking wing nuts would kill the entire English Language, and the common culture, if that's what it takes to get control of the country back. Talk about odious, blind, self serving zeal.

Monday Quickies (not because it's Monday, mind you. This is all I am up for. But I might get cranked. Stay tuned, and see for yourself.)

Story of the week/month/year. Well, disaster story of the moment and near future, at least. Japan. Natural disasters suck. Ironically, the nation in the world that should be most mindful of the harmful effects of radiation (other than Russia, to be accurate) now has at least one nuke reactor in meltdown, and who knows how bad it will get?

All humans are not fucking stupid, but humans can be so fucking stupid, sometimes. Criminally so!

Moving on? More about partisan political hacks masquerading as journalists. Fuck them. Andrew Breitbart got column space over at Huffpo, over the past few days. What he wrote was at best polemic, and at the most objective level? Political hack hate speech, lies and bullshit. And since I am in that sewer again dealing with that shit as topic, wtf with the rehabilitation of O'Keefe? An objective neutral description of him should read as either "convict," or "convict still on probation." (But hey. We live in the day and age where Snooki gets the cover of Rolling Stone. Seriously, civilization itself must be on the brink of collapse!)

Don't legitimize that punk ass, and the punk ass shit he has pulled. And that means do not call it a sting. It was a scam and a hack job. Remember what Nixon's hatchet men called what they did: ratfucking. It's not journalism. It's not running a sting. It's the politics of the gutter and gutter dwellers. Use the right fucking words, dammit.

And now we get to the twin sisters of different mothers: Bachmann and Palin. First Bachmann.

As someone who went to (law) school in the great state of New Hampshire, I know a little bit about Granite Staters. They not only hate Massachusetts, but they hate it with a passion no one else can understand. They have a particular nickname for people from Mass. They call them Massholes. Swear! So kudos to Mrs. Bachmann for committing a faux pas on the order of magnitude of calling a room full of Irish Catholics "English." Good luck with the NH primary if you choose to run, honey!

And now, on to Mrs. Palin. Her bad news of the week is rumor (more conjecture really) that she is on Roger Ailes (AKA Satan's big fat Helper on Earth) shit list. Reason for that? He (among every one else she pretends to listen to, with some professional experience in politics and related shit) advised her not to do that stupid assed "blood libel" tape message. That message was in response to the implication that Mrs. Palin's style of evil, violent rhetoric (morally, mind you) was a possible contributory factor in the AZ massacre. Mika Brzezinski went so far on "Morning Joe" today to guess that Palin might get fired (or her contract not renewed) from FNC.

Not that I should wish harm on people, but shit. Now loosing that easy money will really make that sow crazy. (Remember kids. A female bear is a Sow. Not a Mamma Grizzly.) I guess. And even if I have been avoiding Charlie Sheen references, I think a full Melt Down from Mrs. Palin will make Charlie's look like a 10 second tantrum from a mute baby, by comparison. I am not wishing her a break down, but if mental break downs are what passes for must see TV these days? Well that footage will be sizzling hot! Question is will the good shit happen on cam, or will all that makes the airwaves is the recounting of the event, after the fact? She does have that studio. I have to wonder what the contract says about the fixtures and equipment following breach, termination, or non renewal of the agreement? Can you say stand off?

But I am not really predicting anything here. Just speculating.

Oh. One last quickie. I am calling it first contender for dumb assed white republican racist remark of the week. It's from that pixie cute evil twit, Dana Perino. Now for the set up, P. Obama cracked the following, on Crybaby of the House, Boehner, during the Gridiron dinner:

“I’ve made a few jokes over the years about John’s unusual coloring. I used to think that it was a tan. But after seeing how often he tears up, I’ve come to realize: that’s not a tan, that’s rust.”

And I don't know if she just has no sense of humor, or perspective, or only the most tenuous grasp on reality, but Perino behaved as if she took offense. Or she merely and deliberately took a partisan shot (swing anda miss. By my count.)

"They keep going back to the same well and making fun of John Boehner’s skin color? Really? This White House of all White Houses?"

Gimme a Break!

Now it is not a classic racist race bait, but here is how I break this one down. Firstly, Boehner himself has made jokes about his odd skin color, even so far as to make a joke about conversations between him and P. Obama on the subject of being "people of color," so Perino is wasting her time taking umbrage here. Unless . . .

her real aim was not so much to make a reality based remark, but was a bullshit attempt to paint P. Obama as a reverse racist. I actually think that is what this really was about. And it was done in a passive aggressive, sneaky, right wing, evil bitch way (and I know that shit way too expertly. Been there, had that done to me, and finally learned my lessons.) But lady . . .

black and white identity politics are not primarily about skin color so much as about status. For hundreds of years on this continent, it was not merely a matter of social status, but it was legal status. And that really did not stop being law, until 1964. And society is still playing catch up to the law more than 40 years later. And it is particularly the GOP that is lagging behind.

But hey. If you take away the Battle Cry of The Whine of the Cult of White (or now it's Orange) Victim hood from the GOP, they won't know what to do with themselves. Fucking freaks.

Like I keep saying kids. We need push back on this shit. Those fucking freaks are in the driver's seat too often, steering the national conversation ever towards the delusional alternative reality they live in. We can't let that happen. Ya know?

PS. Unverified, but I read some remark somewhere that the weird coloring of Boehner runs in his family. So if you want to paint P. Obama as insensitive, don't make it about color. Make it about handicaps. Get the facts right, ya freaks! (Then again, they do not deal in facts where scoring an ideological or partisan point is at issue. Let me stop there. I feel another diatribe building and I should stifle it. Deflect, deflect!)

Megyn Kelly is an Immature, Emotionally Stunted Brat. At Best.

At worst, she might be the ugliest Fox News "personality" with their own show. Now don't get me wrong. On the outside she looks like a living, breathing Barbie Doll. But under that attractive exterior is a self, a being, a creature of underdeveloped emotions, lacking the most basic of social graces, and ability for self control. And on top of that, she's mean. Forget the chix in that movie "Mean Girls." She has them all beat. She's Dolores Umbridge mean. And I don't mean "Order of the Phoenix," Dolores Umbridge, who reall did not like children. I mean the "Deathly Hollows," bigoted witch from hell, who gleefully helps persecute non pure blood wizards, and is a knowing collaborator of the Death Eaters, Dolores Umbridge. (Remember. She had Mad Eye's eye on the door of her office. Where'd she get that, Hmmm?)

Below, I'm posting the link to her recent exchange with one of my favorite congress critters, Anthony Weiner. If you watch the vid, you will see her do her signature contempt act. She belittles her guests -- those who dare disagree with her, and even worse, dare correct her bullshit. And good lord, the woman can bullshit like a longhorn with a bad case of the runs. She snarls. She curls her lips. She changes her voice from one of the 'neutral' anchor/interviewer into that of a blonde haired, leggy, female Torquemada, persecuting some heathen for the Glory of God, allegedly, but more so for the malicious glee of it. And as an aside, I get it, that asshole, idiot right wing men (and some of the women folk too) get off on that sick shit. I don't get the why of it, though.

Among her other, usual socially deplorable tricks is she will cut people off. And I don't mean the ordinary way we take for granted in the media world. She does it in a super rude, arrogant, nasty, "I'm in charge, OBEY ME," kind of way. And she goes just plain batshit sometimes. I have seen her do this basically fucked up thing where she goes all kinda Urk Hai Orc on people and shouts something like, "I'm the host! I get to ask the questions! Not you!"

Ya. Like that's soooo mature! In this video, she takes that idea in another direction. She instead says, at one point, go ahead. Make a soliquily.

What the fuck?

Only on Fox News could an alleged journalist/anchor throw such a hissy fit and not get fired for unprofessionalism and infantilism. Again. For some weird reason, the right wingers eat that shit up, and ask for seconds. I don't get it. But it is train-wreck interesting to watch. As long as it's just the occasional clip. A steady diet of that kinda shit would be very unhealthy, I would say.

Grow Up, Child.

If I ever had the chance to meet her I would suggest the following. "Instead of telling people how you used to be a lawyer, how about acting like one?"

(On TV and in the movies, lawyers get to go all aggressive cross examining people. In the real world, not so much. If the trial is just before a judge, you don't want the judge thinking you are an asshole. And if it's before a jury you risk them thinking you are an asshole. So real lawyers behave much better than that, in court at least.)

Anyway . . .

One last thing. Why are right wingers so immature, crazy, or at least tolerant of and or willing to accept as normal, so much immature, crazy shit?

* * * * * * * * * * *

Edit to add and give credit where due, she did stick to the law, against Bill O'Reilly over the decision in the Westboro Baptist Church case.

Megyn explains the Westboro decision to Bill.

Granted, it was sorta funny seeing her take him to task for the same crime of 'invention of facts' that she tried with Weiner.

And even if she was a little more respectful, her style of argument is still too assholey.

Not that I am saying she should adopt in total, Peggy Noonan's method of delivery, but she should move at least a little in that direction. For those of you who do know know what I mean. Ms. Noonan answers (seems) just about every question asked, first with a world-weary sigh, and then proceeds, in a languid, soft, sub moderate volume, nearly emotionally flat level, with a butter would not melt in her mouth, tone. It's an interesting act. 30 minutes of that would be mind numbing dull, ya. But you can not imagine Ms. Noonan raising her voice if the room were on fire. We probably need more of that, or something closer to it, than the bat fucking crazy insane clown posse shout fests, that pollute so much of Fox New's programming.

Before I go to the Worker's Solidarity Rally . . . Why Anti Union People Suck, and . . . Are Full of Shit on the Facts.

From Paul Krugman's blog, quoting David Cay Johnston, setting the record straight on how union concessions really are working against the workers.

"[s]tate workers are not being asked to simply “contribute more” to Wisconsin’ s retirement system (or as the argument goes, “pay their fair share” of retirement costs as do employees in Wisconsin’ s private sector who still have pensions and health insurance). They are being asked to accept a cut in their salaries so that the state of Wisconsin can use the money to fill the hole left by tax cuts and reduced audits of corporations in Wisconsin."

Lies, Bullshit, and Anti Union Agitprop.

These facts tend to show how ugly and untrue the anti union people's rhetoric has been. It's all wrong, and basically evil. Again. This is why I say the GOP/Right Wing is basically evil. It/they are evil based on the shit they believe, and the bullshit they spew (even if they don't believe it.)
