This is So Stupid. Even by Bill O'Reilly's Standards.

This could also be filed under the heading,"How Could This Possibly Be News?" But under "So Stupid," works too.

Now Media Matters (which I am happy to link to, here on this very blog) does a mighty fine job of attacking by publicity, the bias of wing nut media. And Bill O'Reilly doesn't like that. Neither does C. Boyden Gray, who got zinged by them once, himself. Which I learned about here. But not on Mediaite, where I first saw the story mentioned.

Anyway, Mr. Gray has a theory that Media Matters should lose it's tax exempt status because it is not living up to it's stated mission of tracking bias in the media?

Excuse me? That has to be another egregious example of what I was talking about in my previous post about how fucking wing nuts will redefine words, or ignore the plain meanings of words, or deny reality itself.

Asshole. Listen up asshole. Ya, you Ambassador Asshole. If I start off saying I am going to track bias in the media, and if I only track bias in right wing media, I am in fact tracking bias in the media. Asshole.

Good luck with your complaint. Asshole.

What is is about being a wing nut that makes people with otherwise exceptional educations, and resumes, and by extension, intelligence, act like complete schumks and say obviously stupid shit?

How Messed Up is the Circus that is the Right Wing in America?

O'Reilly's The Adult in the Room.

Leastwise, according to Lawrence O'Donnell. Sorta. He's speculating that Bill O's trying to keep the batshit crazies on the margins, and make it more than less likely that the sane (should I say merely saner) candidates on the right have enough room to get noticed, or otherwise be heard. And not only Fox Not News, but even the rest of the media love a good freak salad sandwich with a side of weird slaw, over baloney and cheese on wonder bread. The freaks get the attention. And that is not good for sorta or at least more serious candidates on the right. Now O'Reilly trying for the status of Kingmaker? Well I can see it. He is not the dumbest person in a room full of right wingers. I have to admit that. He might have his head up his ass on a wide area of matters. But he still seems to have actual cognitive abilities. Unlike others (Palin, Bachmann, and so on . . . )

Quickies. What do You Call Reverse (Geographically) China Syndrome?

Do you call it Toledo Syndrome? I don't have a globe here, and I am not up for the math. Wait. Let me google it. Ok. I got a little obsessed there, worked it out and if that reactor in Japan that has melted the floor of the plant keeps melting shit until it comes out the opposite side of the planet, I expect it to come out off shore of Argentina. So call it South Atlantic Syndrome?

Moving on. Donald Trump is full on racist opportunist mode, with his birther whoring. I always thought there was something fundamentally shitty about him. Now I am convinced beyond any doubt of that.

Bill O'Reilly can't see the forest for the trees, re Mrs. Palin. Yes, she appears weak in not talking to the REAL press, but I don't think her poll numbers are down on account of that. They are down because even with out real reporters asking her real questions, she still comes across as some ignorant, snowbilly who's maximum brain power is equal to a bucket of snot.

Oh, and speaking of insulting Mrs. Palin, it's not necessarily sexist to use really harsh insults in her specific direction. It might be mean and nasty and meant to sting, ya. But it is not an indictment or slur against all women to viciously insult her for being no smarter than a bucket of snot, in the harshest terms possible. (Bill Maher is a Jersey boy. Love us or hate us, we usually don't do passive aggressive insulting. We call out a ho as a ho! If we really go old school we use the pronunciation who-ah.)

Anything else? Herman Cain. Kudos Herman. You have just proven as a concrete fact that yes, blacks can be every bit a racist as white folk. It's just that you happen to be a black wing nut racist.

Lastly, touching on one of my pet peeve topics of late. Yes Andrew Breitbart. We are trying to shut you up. You make us sick. And as opposed to wing nuts, who seem to believe in some childish, warped, redneck outlaw, unsophisticated and all the fuck ways hypocritical view on non-governmental involved free speech, we hold some values higher than that. For example, I would say my right to tell you to shut the fuck up means more to me than your right to be an obnoxious liar and rat fucking GOP hack badly masquerading as a journalist. But that is my explicit way of saying it. The more general liberal way of saying it, is society has a right to protect itself from being violated by shit like you. If society does not have the right to set standards, there is no real civilization. There's just outlaw rednecks, stinking up the joint. And we don't need any more of that, fuck you very much. Ok. I'll end there.

Megyn Kelly is an Immature, Emotionally Stunted Brat. At Best.

At worst, she might be the ugliest Fox News "personality" with their own show. Now don't get me wrong. On the outside she looks like a living, breathing Barbie Doll. But under that attractive exterior is a self, a being, a creature of underdeveloped emotions, lacking the most basic of social graces, and ability for self control. And on top of that, she's mean. Forget the chix in that movie "Mean Girls." She has them all beat. She's Dolores Umbridge mean. And I don't mean "Order of the Phoenix," Dolores Umbridge, who reall did not like children. I mean the "Deathly Hollows," bigoted witch from hell, who gleefully helps persecute non pure blood wizards, and is a knowing collaborator of the Death Eaters, Dolores Umbridge. (Remember. She had Mad Eye's eye on the door of her office. Where'd she get that, Hmmm?)

Below, I'm posting the link to her recent exchange with one of my favorite congress critters, Anthony Weiner. If you watch the vid, you will see her do her signature contempt act. She belittles her guests -- those who dare disagree with her, and even worse, dare correct her bullshit. And good lord, the woman can bullshit like a longhorn with a bad case of the runs. She snarls. She curls her lips. She changes her voice from one of the 'neutral' anchor/interviewer into that of a blonde haired, leggy, female Torquemada, persecuting some heathen for the Glory of God, allegedly, but more so for the malicious glee of it. And as an aside, I get it, that asshole, idiot right wing men (and some of the women folk too) get off on that sick shit. I don't get the why of it, though.

Among her other, usual socially deplorable tricks is she will cut people off. And I don't mean the ordinary way we take for granted in the media world. She does it in a super rude, arrogant, nasty, "I'm in charge, OBEY ME," kind of way. And she goes just plain batshit sometimes. I have seen her do this basically fucked up thing where she goes all kinda Urk Hai Orc on people and shouts something like, "I'm the host! I get to ask the questions! Not you!"

Ya. Like that's soooo mature! In this video, she takes that idea in another direction. She instead says, at one point, go ahead. Make a soliquily.

What the fuck?

Only on Fox News could an alleged journalist/anchor throw such a hissy fit and not get fired for unprofessionalism and infantilism. Again. For some weird reason, the right wingers eat that shit up, and ask for seconds. I don't get it. But it is train-wreck interesting to watch. As long as it's just the occasional clip. A steady diet of that kinda shit would be very unhealthy, I would say.

Grow Up, Child.

If I ever had the chance to meet her I would suggest the following. "Instead of telling people how you used to be a lawyer, how about acting like one?"

(On TV and in the movies, lawyers get to go all aggressive cross examining people. In the real world, not so much. If the trial is just before a judge, you don't want the judge thinking you are an asshole. And if it's before a jury you risk them thinking you are an asshole. So real lawyers behave much better than that, in court at least.)

Anyway . . .

One last thing. Why are right wingers so immature, crazy, or at least tolerant of and or willing to accept as normal, so much immature, crazy shit?

* * * * * * * * * * *

Edit to add and give credit where due, she did stick to the law, against Bill O'Reilly over the decision in the Westboro Baptist Church case.

Megyn explains the Westboro decision to Bill.

Granted, it was sorta funny seeing her take him to task for the same crime of 'invention of facts' that she tried with Weiner.

And even if she was a little more respectful, her style of argument is still too assholey.

Not that I am saying she should adopt in total, Peggy Noonan's method of delivery, but she should move at least a little in that direction. For those of you who do know know what I mean. Ms. Noonan answers (seems) just about every question asked, first with a world-weary sigh, and then proceeds, in a languid, soft, sub moderate volume, nearly emotionally flat level, with a butter would not melt in her mouth, tone. It's an interesting act. 30 minutes of that would be mind numbing dull, ya. But you can not imagine Ms. Noonan raising her voice if the room were on fire. We probably need more of that, or something closer to it, than the bat fucking crazy insane clown posse shout fests, that pollute so much of Fox New's programming.

Resembles Lots of Right Wing Pundits and What not . . .

At least those who are not noxious, most of the time. Here's the line:

"...hasn’t bothered to understand the basics, relying on snide comments and surface cleverness to convey the impression of wisdom. It’s all style, no comprehension of substance."

This was originally a shot by Paul Krugman against Niall Ferguson. But to my mind, it applies perfectly to what passes for Right Wing thinkers. (And I must confess, I think it applies as well to a certain law professor-blogger beloved of the wing nuts, on her worse days.)

And to think, I ran across this, after watching the vid of Lawrence O'Donnell explaining what a joke Bill O'Reilly is. O'Reilly is a perfect poster boy for this right wing disposition. His only game is snide. He doesn't really have anything else for game.

And speaking of snide, what about Mrs. Palin? The list could go on and on, but that is what those people get off on.

And before I go, let me explain why Mediaite makes me crazy (even if tend to look at it daily.) I think the editors and staff over there try for snarky, miss, and only manage smarmy.
