That is Pretty Much Vile, IMO. Althouse.

I have gone months without mentioning the owl.  Not that she has stopped posting things so weird and twisted, it hurts my pretty brain.  Because her frequent defenses of orangenazi and his racist regime, are sickening.   And I am at the point where shit is so vile and abusive in America, that even the rhetoric is capable of giving me headaches.  But this example of brain vomit is hitting me in a particularly toxic way.

My default is you do you, let me do me.  Let everyone do their shit, as long as their shit doesn't interfere with someone else's shit, to do their shit as long as it doesn't interfere with someone else's shit.  I took that out a couple more iterations than usual to make a particular point.

I find love of one's "country" to be an absurd idea.  I usually just avoid the topic if it comes up IRL.  But me doing my shit is to on the one hand, let people think what they want.  As I like to say.  My life became a little less stressful once I understood.  People have a right to be wrong.  Leave them to it.  However.  Some lines of thinking lead people to berate people for no more of a violation than, "Hey.  That person doesn't think as I do.  That means I get to abuse them.  For not thinking as I do."

And shit like patriotic thinking too easily leads to abuse of others, for no greater a violation than thinking differently from the other observer.  Belief is one thing.  People have a right to be wrong.  But abusing people is where it really becomes socially indefensible a thing.

If one "loves their country," what ever the fuck that means.  And it must mean different things to different  people.  On account of, we are not dealing with absolute and or objective truths, and as well, people being different from other people, a lot of the time.  So have at it, as far and limited to your own beliefs.  But people do not have any right at all to make demands of other people to be and or think as they themselves do.  That is evil.  Don't be evil.  Let everyone do their shit, as long as their shit doesn't interfere with someone else's shit, to do their shit as long as it doesn't interfere with someone else's shit.

Personally.  I am warm to the idea of going semi expat.  If not the full monty.  You do you boo!

I don't owe the USA shit.  Fuck anyone who believes either directly or indirectly, they have a right to abuse me for wanting to call it quits.  I have my limits, fuck you, damn it.  You ain't my momma, or the boss of me!  And I am very good at setting boundaries!

The USA actually hasn't done shit for me in a concrete meaningful way, because it only is an abstract concept.  It is not a human being.  It really isn't even an association.

Now there is this thing called the government.  Very few people would say they love the government.

And there is the real estate.  Rocks, and water, and shit that grows.  But there is a large spectrum of feeling for the real estate, from utter contemptuous rape and abuse of it, to the most devoted of husbandry.

And finally, there is the "nation."  In other words, the people.  And based on my experience living within the government boundaries of the piece of real estate.  Seems to me, the kind of American most likely to run around saying shit like how much they love "their country," tend to hate more than half of the people in that "country."  So I really don't know what the fuck any one person means, when they say, they love "their country,"

So yeah.  I think it is flat out vile to criticize people for being ready to call it quits, and not show love for an abstract concept.  And as well, it is vile and evil to assert people got to stick around if they wanna go.  That is some flat-out evil thinking.

I am a firm believer in personal liberty.  We all are free to to vote with our wallets and or our feet.  Fuck an one who says otherwise.  This a a default of how life is supposed to be, a society that actually respects individual liberty.

The Sad, Tragic Truth Behind the Wing Nut Love Affair With (This Week's Newt.)

Ok. I usually reserve my broadsides for the GOP pols and pundits, and other alleged leaders of the legion of doom that is the Right Wing. But every now and then, I take a swipe at the rank and file. Because . . . with out them, the so called leaders would have nothing to lead. In modern warfare, bombing the population that fields and supports the enemy army is fair game. So here goes.

Now ...of all people, it was David Brooks, who recently came up with the brilliant (but not original) answer to the question, why does the rank and file of the GOP/Right Wing have such love for seemingly insane people? (Like Nixon, Bob Dole was more than a little loopy, McCain's not too stable, Palin, Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Santorum, and the one who was focus of Brook's article, Newton Leroy.)

Here is the punchline/answer: "Most (right wingers) just want somebody who can articulate their hatreds, and Gingrich is demagogically happy to play the role."

(Brooks had it as "most people." But sorry Dave, that's the Wing Nut way, not the general way.)

Now I confess that I originally posted this on my FB wall, and now I have a bit more to add. And I am going to pull in at least my current embarrassment of a Governor, Chris Christe, as in exhibit. Oddly enough (go watch some Ann Coulter vids from the past year and see/hear for yourself) Christie gets this weird love from wing nuts, because not only is he a verbal bully, but he looks the part, being all huge and obese and dangerous looking. Granted, the person in the world he endangers most is himself. Talk about a triple coronary waiting to happen. But wing nuts just go for that shit in a way that liberals don't.

And I have to say, yes, not much of a confession. But I do prefer P. Obama giving a little push back to his detractors. But I would not support someone who's usual demeanor was being pugnacious. That's not only a turn off for me, but it's usually the sign of at least some lower level emotional/personality disorder. People like that are not effective leaders or statesmen. Even if they can get their way sometimes by being a bully. That's going for the slim chance of short term gains over the rational and adult way, seeking long term security and prosperity. Fuck that, and anyone who supports that kind of government. Well . . . sometimes I think we need some more actual ass kicking. But I mean literally. That or at least to have the right people retired from the game. Or embarrassed out of it. I do have some cunning and devious plans. But that still is not dependent on supporting being a public bully.

What did Teddy Roosevelt say? Speak softly and carry a big stick. That makes more sense to me than being a fat mouth, bullying douchebag. I can't say no one likes fat mouth, bullying douchebags. As what I am saying here throughout this whole post is that way the fuck too many wing nuts not only like fat mouth, bullying douchebags, but are willing to vote them into office. Fucking idiots. But more's the point, dangerous idiots.

Like I Said Earlier, Trust The Comics . . .

Headline of the week, courtesy of those snarky larks over at Wonkette:

"President Caught On ‘Hot Mic’ Saying Things He Should Just Say In Public."

Granted, I think the staff over at Wonkette are not true comics/comedians in the classic sense of the word. But their enterprise is more one of intended to be funny than intending to be serious political commenters. And sometimes I think their collective humor sensibilities are too . . . what's the word I am thinking . . . too much of an inside joke to have broad appeal. But I think they have been getting generally better. Or maybe I am getting their inside jokes better, from osmosis of continued and repeated exposure.

Anyway . . . . And as has long been the case in the wide world, the most funny stuff has not only a germ of truth to it, but has a lot of truth to it. But before I break that part down, and the President's statements as well, let's recap the lyin' liars of the GOP bullshit. Echoing the old line attributed to some Vietnam War Era commander, "We had to bomb the village to save it," the GOP, through Looks-Like-A-Meth-Head, Lyin' Ryan recently proposed to save the Medical Insurance Plan known as "Medicare" by converting it from a Medical Insurance Plan into a voucher plan. Lying assed scumbag weasels. Oh. And the irony in that plan is it closely resembles the dreaded "ObamaCare," as those shits call it. Save, that the one plan requires the younger (healthier) folk to have insurance, and gives them the voucher if they need it. As opposed to the GOP plan, which requires the needy of care elderly to bankrupt themselves. Remember Death Panels? This GOP plan is worse than Death Panels. It's a Death Scheme.

That's the premise. Then P. Obama, actually quite mildly, rebuked Lyin' Ryan's proposal during his speech, earlier this week. More irony. The collective wail out of the wing nuts was that P. Obama was (as Limbaugh said it) bitch slapping Ryan (with out mentioning his name once, mind you.) So I guess Lyin' Ryan is their "Anointed One." Criticize the holes and lies and inhuman policies in his plan and it's HERESY! Ya. These people are that sick.

But on to the Wonkette quote. In an allegedly closed donor meeting, P. Obama made some critical (yet again mildy so) statements about the GOP. The GOP freaked. And that not only is funny, considering the depth and volume of hate he has endured from those shits. But for peeps like me, for Yella Dog Dems, our reply to that was:

About fucking time!

And it proves one of my favorite tactical theories. Keep the pressure on those shit-headed, lying-assed, bully-bigots, and you win. I hope this means that if it is not yet time when Obama takes the gloves off, he at least now knows, it's a fight. And it's a street fight.

Go get 'em, Tiger.

Peter King's Racist Hearing.

(Before I even get to the issues raised in and about the hearing itself. The pictures of "The Girls," on fire in the hearing room? That was actually as offensive as the racist mindset behind the hearing. But on a whole different level. What sort of sick mother fucker decorates a room with people burning to death and falling to their deaths? Doesn't matter if you don't see them dying in the pictures. We all fucking know people were fucking dying in the moment of time that picture was taken. Dying as horribly as with as much suffering that humans can be made to suffer. Actually. Making the analogy of the US Government's displaying those pictures in a public government room to a human being, displaying that picture is every bit as mother fucking insane as a victim of rape displaying a picture of herself being raped, in her living room. Sick mother fuckers! But I digress . . . .)

Ya. I have no problem saying it that way. Did Mr. Racist Chairman King have a hearing on domestic terror? Nope. How about domestic "radical" terror? No. He zeroed in on Muslims. And he took Hillary's famous "It Takes a Village," remark, turned it upside down, twisted it, and then used it as an indictment against the innocent. I think Donny Deutsch said it best (on Morning Joe a day or two ago, I think) that we did not blame moderate whites for Oklahoma City (and whatever other white American, radical, evil shit he may have mentioned.) So why is it ok to do that for Muslims? Most of them have brown or at least not even close to white skin, maybe?

So I call out Mr, Racist Chairman King as a racist, without hesitation or guilt. Either he himself believes the racist premises that underlie his theory behind the need for that hearing on that narrowly defined scale, or he is such a cynical, evil bastard that he's playing to that wing of the GOP. And where racism goes, we grade based on the rules of the game of Horseshoes. Close is close enough. More importantly, generally, you own the shit you publish, and the shit you do. So if you sign on for the racist "crusade," you get stuck with the label of racist crusader. It's that simple, dammit.

And I know that some white Americans, usually right wingers, think that being called a racist is the horror of horrors. (Ironically, but not in the least bit surprisingly, though, they fail to understand that's nothing compared to dealing with the business end of racism. The fuck wads.) And unfortunately it seems this racist, apologist mindset is taking hold in society. Consider the fake NPR scandal. I say fuck that shit. I will continue to call out racist bastards where and when I see them. I don't give a fuck about the sensitivities of even weakly borderline racists. Never mind, mother fuckers need to be called out on that shit. Still. All the damn time and almost all over the place, seems.

I expressed the idea, if not here, on my FB page, that I hoped that someone or some ones called King out during the hearing as a racist. And I mean in the harsh, accusatory, call that shit out for what it is way I do here. And that did not happen. Shit. Damn. Missed opportunity. But Rep. Ellison's take down was a thing of beauty to see. He was much more restrained than I would have been. That shows the difference between him, a Congressman, and me, some on again off again advocate for such things. And as a lawyer (who hasn't argued in court in years) I know that for an effective cross examination, one does not really go scorched earth on some one's ass. But that was not court. That wasn't even merely a government hearing. It was a public spectacle, with nationwide media coverage. I would not have been satisfied with Counting Coup (that Native American Warrior custom of merely scoring a mostly symbolically hit on the opponent.)

This is hard ball politics. If I had the chance to destroy Mr. Racist Chairman's "face" (not literally, but in the psychic sense) I would have. I would have deliberately tried to (again metaphorically) drill down into the deepest darkest cesspits of his ugly mind, and let loose the racist hate, and the rage, and the contempt that lies there, barely under control. I would have tried to make him blow his lid. Now that would have made for some "Must See TV."

And I say again! Peeps on my team. Remember. Behind the facade of every right wing Republican bully is a weakling and a coward. There's an emotionally and intellectually deficient basket case there, right below the surface. And you don't have to dig deep to expose it. And that is what we need to do against these fuckers. We need to keep their true faces exposed as much as possible. One of the main reasons we have not utterly defeated them, or at least neutralized them, is they keep that facade up too much. Got to keep the ugly showing. That is the way to keep moderates and indys from voting for them.

Lastly, apologies for my going heavier than usual with the cussing. The combination of GOP exploitation of 911 and GOP Racism as topics got my pirate blood boiling.
