Currently, Thoughts.

Romney: still as stiff and "elitist" as ever. God, out of the buffoons left in the GOP Primary he's the one I want my team to run against.

Santorum: It is (further) evidence of the dissolution and pathology and insanity of the GOP that that insane Catholic American Taliban is still in the race. Granted, Bachmann and Cain never should have rated as serious, for one fucking minute. But even so, likewise, Santorum. He should not have survived Iowa.

Gingrich: fat, ugly, stupid racist.

Ron Paul: Ron Paul who?

Mrs. Palin and the myth of the brokered convention. First the part about the BC generally. It's further evidence of the dissolution and pathology and insanity of the GOP that so many of the leaders and rank and file are freaked out that it is not locked up already. I say that because the way things usually go in the GOP is that shit gets put together in favor of the party elite chosen one so quickly, usually, that these usually corrupt bastards really don't know democracy when they see it in action. Granted, having the stooges still throwing shit at each other is good sport. I don't really know if it is really good for Dems. I mean, it just helps in opposition research expenses, but beyond that? One could argue that it toughens up the eventual nominee.

Now to Mrs. Palin. Sigh. I was talking to someone on FB earlier this week and I was saying I really did not think she was trying to run. Ultimately the down side for her and the biggest personal consideration for her should be . . . if she could not stand the heat before, it is going to be so much hotter now. I mean really. People want to rip the shit out of her. And not just Democrats and the Main Stream Liberal Media. Fucking republicans want to tar and feather her racist ass (not for being a racist, but on account of her other deficiencies.) But I read something about some guessing about the racist cunt from Alaska, a couple days ago, that I am going to call "The Anointing Scenario."

Short of that was that the writer though she was angling for savior status at a brokered convention. Hmm. Ok. Spin that upside down. That means she could actively be hoping to win the nomination with out having to work for it. But for taking a motorcycle and bus trip, and telling folk she's up for it.

Now that sounds like the lazy, stupid, crazy, sociopathic, racist cunt from Alaska.

I wish her no luck with that.

But there is a silver lining for me, if she actually becomes sorta relevant again. I can dust off my trashing Sarah Palin song, record it, and post to YouTube. I might finally go viral!

(All things expressed herein and on this blog generally are just my opinion. And by that I mean anything that could be considered defamatory is definitely just my opinion.)

Monday Quickies. No Linkys.

Love that old quoted exchange between Newt and Bob Dole.

Newt:  "Why is everyone in such a rush to dislike me?"

Dole:  "Saves time."

The wheels are flying off the Newt bus, never mind the actual endorsement by Mack Daddy Cain, the rogue endorsement of Mr. Palin, and the almost sorta not actually but nearly so semi endorsement from Mrs. Palin.

News flash.  Mrs. Palin is still a rube.  And her stock at FNC is so low she's mainly doing the B list shows, over on Fox Business.  I wonder if Roger Ailes and the company got their money's worth out of her contract yet?  If so, take the Redneck Xena off the air.  Please?

I am tired of the "They are not racist, but . . ." arguments.  That is not a news flash.  But I want to see some strong voices with high media profiles  make the case that calling someone racist is not impolite, as long as their behavior warrants it.  We can never really know what is in some one's heart, even if they say,"This is in my heart."  Fuckers will lie.  Particularly if they are wing nut racists who tend to believe the line is always there where the next guy said something stupid.  It is never right there under their feet, when they say something stupid.

Anything else for now?  I saw some polling showing that a race between P. Obama and Romney is tighter than one between  P. Obama and Newt.  Newt gets creamed.  It's nice to know that only so many Americans  are freak flag flying, flaming idiots.

Ok.  I am done.  For now.

Who Actually Gives a Shit About Iowa Day, Quickies.

I was maybe going to let posting slide today.  But I will be falling off the edge of the map for a couple weeks  maybe  (beyond here be Monsters!)  So I might as well post while I can.

I don't get the bullshit over Alan Colmes calling Santorum crazy for bringing the dead baby home.  I don't really understand why the hospital let them bring the baby's corpse home.  They would never let that happen with an adult corpse.  Am I right, or am a fucking A  right?

I expect Mittens to win Iowa by a nose.  Mostly because  the others have been mostly slugging at each other, save Newt, who's whining like a little girl about Mittens.  Point is, Mittens, if he made the right call, should be concentrating on getting his people to the caucuses.  In what ever way makes them happy  and  made to feel special.  Perhaps not Lincolns.  Maybe a Buick sorta SUV looking thing, with some nice munchies  and shit, in back.

I expect the press to treat this like it is decisive.  It ain't, except for anyone who did does so badly they pull out before New Hampshire.

I was well amused to see Mrs. Palin piss on Bachmann, telling her it's time to pack it up.  What I really would find entertaining is a food fight between the two of them  like what have been going on with the boys in the primary.  Meow!   Chick Fight!  But not the visual kind.  Just a pair of not really all that deeply ladylike phonies letting lose with their bad ass, fight dirty  redneck selves.  You can take the trash out of the trailer but ya can't take the trailer out of the trash.

And I am losing steam here and I got shit to do so I will end with the following.  Stolen  from the comment section of a certain other blogger, from a commenter I usually think is not that stable, but does get it right, time to time:

"Mental projection is a motherfucker."

That's all for now!

Not Making Predictions Here. Just Speculating Out Loud.

Follow me. Some of the GOP insiders are going batshit over the prospect of Newt as nominee. I have heard dire predictions, he'll kill the party. Bla bla. Yadda, yadda.

And now we have the converging perfect storm coming with the Trump Debate. So far only Newtie is in. Now could this be the thing that reduces the GOP to level of respectability reserved for junkies after they shit themselves?

We will see.

Friday Quickies

After beating up on silly person Ann Althouse for a couple days (metaphorically speaking,) I will compliment her, for taking sides (something she avoids doing often, and such avoidance to my mind is at least a "cheat.") The issue is some draconian Time Place Manner + costs restrictions on protests at the Wisc. State House. Kudos to her for calling Walker out on what she described as,"Plainly unreasonable."

Even her silly husband gets a gold star. Correction. Half a gold star. I could accuse him of stealing from me when he argues,"Free speech isn't free." I think I had a fight with him here on this very board trying to convince him of that. I guess that shit finally sunk in. I know. I am being too kind. Like any "good" wing nut he reached for any argument that served the moment, no matter ideological consistency. But still I compliment him on finally getting the connection between speech and money. Speech often if not usually has a cost to it. Again, kudos for that. But don't pretend your megalomaniacal, wanna be despot object du man crush - Gov. Walker is NOT taking steps to crack down on criticism of his own punk ass. Well you can try to pretend that. But I won't. I am here to remind you of the fact. Go Here for that shit.

One last remark in this vein. From one of the Minions there:
"The Governor looks better when he stands up to the mob than when he tries to prevent or silence it. That ought to be obvious."
My reply to that (here not there, I don't post there, yecchh.)

Didja miss the part about Walker being a megalomaniacal, wanna be despot?

Moving on. Cain is still circling the drain. He's all but done. But his sociopathic brain is not processing that (obvious to nearly all others) fact. At this point I will say the following. Call me mean, but I want him to drag this out as long as ugly as possible and utterly self destruct in a way that will eclipse even Rod Blagovitch. Go Herbie Go. You can go your own way. On an elevator straight to hell!

Michelle Bachmann? Who? Some folk still think there is a chance for her to get her mojo back in doing well if not winning Iowa. Remains to be seen.

Resurgent Newt. Proves to me that the GOP base is full of a bunch of amoral, hypocritical idiots. And they must be stopped! But realistically if not seriously. Mittens needs to show his A Game now. He's been ice skating so far. And he has shown his ability to be nasty vicious against P. Obama. But using surrogates as attack dogs now is not enough. Mittens, you got to at least spend some of your own money on some ads to damage Newt. Some people use the analogy of a land battle. The proper one is sea battles from the 18th and 19th century. I am not going to get any further here, but you need to drill your gun crews, and know what kind of shot to load for what desired effect, for your passes and exchanges. You likely don't want to go for solid shot at the waterline. Not to start. Not yet. Get my meaning?

Oh. I have rambled long. So I will just repeat the most important thing I have said here:

Proves to me that the GOP base is full of a bunch of amoral, hypocritical idiots. And they must be stopped!

Forget Ice Cream. We Are Talking Flavors of Crazy!

GOP sure love them some crazy. I am not going to drill down with that. But it is what it is.

So they have had their dalliance with Batshit Crazy Bachmannn.

Then, it was Bat shit Crazy "Insane in the Membrane," Cain.

Now it's with the crazy old uncle, Newt.

"Now kids. That's just yer old Unka Newt. He's mostly harmless. But don't ask him about the Civil War. He'll talk that one to death. Fer that matter, don't let him start talking at all. Before long you will be feeling like a critter in a spring trap, so desperate to get away you'll chew your own foot off."

Newt is ascendant. What a fucking clown car circus gag this season has been. Who's next? Crazier Older Uncle Ron Paul? Or the one with the crazy eyes, Rick Santorum? Does every uniquely in their own way unqualified wannabe get their moment in the sun before the glaring eye of the public eye and media disposes of them, nearly as quickly as they rise up?

Again. What a fucking clown car circus gag.

But She Has Tits!

Poor Rick Perry. He tried to re write the rules of the debate and the usually bully meanie asshole loving GOP audience booed him! I bet he was shocked. Sarah Palin got away with that shit. But she has tits. And allegedly a uterus (even if I am not sure that either her or her brood are naturally born humans. I mean. Who's to say really with out seeing the test results?)

Anyway, some folk are saying he won the shit last night because he came out of his coma. Other's say Bachmann breathed some new life into her flaccid campaign for bringing out her scratching nails. And it looks like Insane in the Membrane Cain had a tough time of it. He got pounded on his juvenile-silly 999 plan. So there!

Speaking of Cain, I read some article about what exactly he did while serving on the board of the regional Fed Reserve. Not much. The position was at best advisory, and by that I mean not expert advisory. I mean merely advisory.

Now I will shift away from Cain. (But I will mention that if given the chance, I would love to properly indict Cain for the offense of, for intents and purposes but with out using the word nigger, calling blacks who vote Dem a bunch of stupid niggers. I mean that really. I want that whole plantation meme shit to be as vilified as calling someone flat out a nigger.)

This is me shifting. So what up Sarah Palin? Yes apparently FOX not News is still using her for her laser like insight into the reality TV show that is GOPNomPrime. But other than that? She's acting like someone who knows she overexposed herself and doesn't have much to say actually.

I hope her contract is over soon. And then I hope she retires to oblivion. Like I have said in other places if not here. If she takes herself completely off the grid, I will stop picking on her.

Edit To Add:

Thought occurred to me today, early this morning thinking about stuff (ok. I confess. I fired up the lap top for an early dose of disinformation.) Has no one made the comparison of Cain to General Powell? Powell seems to be the very embodiment of Presidential. Cain looks like what he is -- a jive talking salesman.

It's a Primary Debate. Not a Freaking Prom. Morons.

Sorta weirdest story of the week. But when dealing with wing nuts it's dealing with morons. Oftentimes.

And some of them were upset with the tough questions Chris Wallace was asking the wannabes, last night. Go Here.

Granted, when confronted about that on "Fox and Friends," he made the NFL analogy instead of my fave, there's no crying in baseball. But the message is the same. This is politics, and that a rough sport (even if not one with actual physical contact, in the USA at least.)

Now I linked to Mediate. And the "editor," Ms. Fran Martel (so I hear it, she's almost a home girl for me,) makes a very specious argument. But she is a true believer wing nut. Anyway, she argues that," Wallace’s assertiveness and frankness in his questioning helps undermine other media outlets’ criticism that Fox News merely acts as a “mouthpiece” for the Republican Party."

And that's some ripe, nasty bullshit. Firstly, intramural GOP politics is every bit as much a vicious blood sport as the GOP vs the Dems. Republicans eat their young, there aged, and any game that can be taken down and chewed on. Implying otherwise is a big fat lie. Therefore either covering or hosting a GOP Debate has to have some adversarial content. As much as the wannabes might want to run against P. Obama now, they have to shred each other to be declared GOP champ, earning the right to be the one to challenge the Democrat Incumbent.

Next, only a fool would think that there's no commercial value in hosting a more pugnacious debate than one that so full of softballs it's like Sean Hannity interviewing a favorite politician.

Next, never underestimate that Fox Mgmt. might be subtly behind someone already and the rest of the pack are just there for dramatic filler.

Lastly, Chris Wallace never seemed to me to be a wing nut. He knows who signs his paychecks, and all, but he's the rare true hunting hound over there in the Fox Kennel. I don't want to continue the metaphor, so I will just say he's one of the few real journalists with his own show, there. And that is the role he plays. He's Mr. Legitimate. Even if his frequent smirks belie the fact he's well amused by the bullshit game his networks got going, there.

So trotting out the "Not a mouthpiece" editorial comment is really bullshit, not because that is a lie, but again, that's Wallace's role there. And during a primary, he gets to play. Good for him! But that does not change the fact that Fox News is the cable TV equivalent of one of those old time biased local papers that routinely side with one party against the other. This is an ancient game, Fran. Don't pretend it is more than that.

Thor's Day Quickies.

Mittens has been caught on camera saying corporations are people too. Typical. Granted the "heads up their asses," conservative rank and file might fall for that shit. But it's no big secret that lots of big corps are sitting on huge piles of cash, not hiring people, and not expanding, and not cutting dividend checks for the shareholders. So fuck you Mitt. The money is not going to people as you said it. It's being stockpiled.

And it seems Mittens is singing Duet with Grover Norquist. At least he's singing Grover's favorite tune, "No new taxes." 'Cause those corps sitting on cash not hiring anyone now are ONLY going to continue to do as they have been doing, sitting on all that money, if we tax the the profits they already are sitting on. Actually.

I don't think I have mentioned UK riots yet. That shit fucking sucks. It would suck even if I did not have people over there. But I do. And I won't go long on the "That's what austerity on top of decades of neglect," will get you, theme. But I will play the card as I just have. Chickens/roost. Whatever.

I'm running out of steam here. It's been a boring week for one so full of economic sturm und drung. I will finish off with the non-story of the week: Bachmann Crazy Picture Mania. Even Ed Schultz is taking her side. Hmm kay. Again, I stand by my post yesterday. Get real people.

Oddly enough (or not, as I will explain) it seems funny that the one person not whining about this is The Stepford Wife herself. But I bet she doesn't think there's anything wrong with the pic. She really doesn't look all that more crazy than the one on her official campaign site, so (shrugs shoulders) eh!

Oh. Tonight's the latest GOP Wannabe debate. I hope she gets asked about her newly (old, actually) discovered racist thinking about slavery, the pre Civil War South, and why she thinks negroes were better off as property than they are now, or were before they were dragged to America in chains. Enough with the fucking picture, I want someone to put her on the spot and make her wiggle, squirm, and hopefully lie in a spectacularly obvious way.

Sunday Quickies, Starting With the Internet Feuds.

Sorry. I'm off schedule. It all started Friday evening, when I found myself sick with the thought of hanging out in the apt., paying too much attention to the stinking Internet. So I got marginally dressed up, went into the city, and bla, bla, yadda yadda. I'm still recovering from that.

Net feuds. I should consider myself happy I am too insignificant to attract the attention of the wing nut bloggers who have attracted mine. That shit gets very juvenile, very fast. Ann Althouse is either in a three way, or four way pissing match now. She cutely quoted that old Stealers Wheels song, "Clowns to the left of me. Jokers to the right . . . ," but she missed the point, entirely. She considers herself more of an independent, so she's stuck in the middle, with or with out another (making reference to the song, "Stuck in the Middle With You," again.) Now granted, that old saw about how if everyone is against you, you must be doing something right would rate as sophistry, if it did not seem utterly baseless, and irrational, and self serving within 3 seconds of awareness of it having been communicated. It's rank bullshit. Not that I am saying she said that. But I suspect that's part of the bundle of twigs that comprises her thoughts on these matters. Moving on . . .

Mitch McConnell is being honest again. He repeats. His main goal is the defeat of P. Obama. Dood. That's the same (well for an audience not composed of fellow travellers) as saying no fucking one should trust any position you take on any issue, since we must assume it's real purpose is to your real and stated goal, defeating P. Obama.

Honest (on that one point) but generally a dishonest person. Moving on.

CNN recently did a piece on whether or not legal blowhard commenters, such as, particularly, Modified Mullet Wearing Nance Grace are hurting the process. Answer -- of course! Find it here. Oh and one last thing for now . . .

Pawlenty is taking shots at Bachmann. Good going Timmy. Remember you wanna-bes got to defeat each other before you can run against P. Obama.

You Don't Need to Use a Foghorn Leghorn Voice to Make Herman Cain Look Like a Fool.

Just ask him a specific question, and try hard to get him to get specific, or alternatively let him do his 'Tambo and Bones' routine.

Eliot Spitzer chides Cain: ‘Generalities Don’t Solve Problems.

Granted, the same goes for most of the Wannabe Klowns. They spew dogma and ideology, but try to get them to lay out any thing specific? Ya might as well try to get milk from a rock, for the futility of it. Cain was particularly odiously repellent, and ignorant, and ill informed here. And at the end, where he refused to answer a question about cutting the budget now, and he replied he wasn't going to answer that . . . because he would have never let it (the crisis) happen in the first place?

Ya. That was such an ignorant answer he might as well stripped naked, jumped up on the table and played with himself while singing "I Feel Pretty." Ok. I grade hard, but his answers were so bad, Mr. Cain is profoundly unfit to be Commissioner of Public Works of a small town, leave alone POTUS. If he has no clue how much like a fool he appears when he answers all those questions with things like, I don't know, I will have to wait until I (win and) get all the data, I haven't read the report, I don't know any specifics, he clearly is not POTUS material (hold off on the Bush jokes. He had the money people on his side to start.)

Anyway, I will take a cheap shot. His own actual accent? Kinda bad. He does have some suthern cuntry pronunciation going there, and when he get a little excited it becomes more pronounced, and makes him seem less articulate. And that shit is not good. It's not very credible to criticize people for making a caricature out of oneself, when one does most of the work for them.

Got to Admit it. Bachmann Got Game.

As opposed to Mrs. Palin, who can still manage to look and sound like an idiot with a friendly interviewer, Bachmann can handle the dreaded CBS Liberals. Today it's her against Bob Schieffer. He's not in hyper attack mode. But he's trying. She is staying poised, and polished. She knows how to do the effective side step.

And even if right now she's singing the anti gay bigot shit, she's doing it in a serious person's serious way.

And now the God speaks to me crap. That shit goes over well with evangelicals, but seems kooky with normal people.

Now for her wacky false statements, as chronicled by Politifact. And she sidesteps. Bob asks her about her outrageous lies about off shore drilling permits and she manages to vamp on energy policy. She denies misleading people with all her "pants on fire" lies, and she trots out Obama's prediction about the stimulus. As if trying to predict the future and not being perfectly prescient about it is the same as either deliberately misstating facts, or just being too lazy to check.

But I again admit. She did not come across as the freakish clown those of us who have been following her for years, knows well. Did she just mature or did she get herself a top coach? Well we know she's got some experienced, talented handlers and advisers. Hmmm. Maybe she won't be falling off the wall that soon? Well that might have to come from the other wannabes instead of the media.

And will someone for the love of god find out what is the truth about whether or not she's been lying about a post doct. degree in Tax?
