Now I Had Meant to Go Off on a Tear About the Republicans Again.

And even if I have made several false starts, today, I did intend at one point to work on that idiotic "Culture War," nonsense, that so many republicans get their granny panties in a twist over.

"Um . . . dad. The repo guy is here, and he's towing the pick-up."

"Never mind that! Them frikkin ho-mo sx'ls wanna get married! To each other! It's OUTRAGEOUS!"

But trust me, I understand both the sociological meaning of the word culture, and the Arts meaning of it.

Instead of going too long (as in beyond merely mentioning) about silly shit like the war on Christmas, or how some ninnies think gay marriage is going to ruin the republic, or why Sarah Palin is Redneck Royalty, let me instead talk about the High Art side of Culture.

I am going to the Opera in 1o days. I am going to get to hear one of the reigning Royal Duchesses of the World of Opera: Renee Fleming.

Now this is what Royalty should look like. Not only can she properly enunciate in several languages, but her voice is described as:

"combining a densely luxuriant texture with an illusion of weightlessness. The sound floats with stunning ease and maintains a beguiling softness throughout a three-octave range."

http://www.smithsonianmag.com/people-places/fleming.html

Now that is a woman I can admire. And that is my idea of culture.

Let's Forget About the Sociopathic Succubus Sarah, ADHD, for a Bit. Remember Plastic Turkey Man?

Who did not rush off to Iraq to serve plastic turkey to hungry service members, this year?

Well, it is reported he has been thinking about his "Legacy," lately.
*choke* "Liberated 50 million people and helped achieve peace." *choke*

Sorry Plastic Turkey Man (not.) Your legacy should be in the same shameful category of the very man you allegedly liberated Iraq from, Saddam Hussein;

Mass Murderer.

Study Claims Iraq's 'Excess' Death Toll Has Reached 655,000.

Note; That is the figure published as of October 11, 2006.

Oh. Here is what the Iraqis say the collateral cost of Bush's liberation of their country has cost them in human deaths:

400,000 Excess Deaths, as of January 2008.

Some people put the figure over a million, as of this year.

No matter what the actual count is, it is glaringly obvious that Plastic Turkey Man is indirectly responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths. That is his real legacy.

When Ever I see this Vid, I Can Feel the Joy.

This is an exclamation of JOY, no matter if Kirk is a seriously christian religious cat. Maurice White and the EWF experience was sorta really poly spiritual. I know this for a fact. I saw EWF in concert three times between 1/1/76 and 1/1/80.

I know what an EWF show was about and it was about inclusivenness not exclusivelness.

Anyway, here is the bomb. If this does not make you feel good to be a human, after watching it, then you are not human, you're an Alien.

I do not mean to exaggerate when I say.

They Are Cancelling "Pushing Daisies," the Bastards.

It was one of the most stylish and interesting to watch shows of recent memory. And it was very entertaining.

Anyway, it will be missed by me.

Great line, in tonight's episode:

Aunt Lily -- "I need a drink."

Olive -- "You are already holding one."

Aunt Lily -- " I need a STRONGER one."

Says the Sane Cardinal, to the Temporarily Insane One . .

somewhere in the book,"Angels and Demons," the previous book featuring the character Robert Langdon, of "DaVinci Code," fame:

"Is it God's will we abandon reason and give ourselves over to frenzy?"

If you want to take my posting of this as some sort of dig at snake handlers, or those who babble on in tongues, and allegedly have holy hallucinations, or receive prophesy, or the Holy Spirit, allegedly, in the form of laughter, or engage in alleged holy warfare, or who claim, otherwise to be the special and chosen instruments of God's Divine Plans, and all that?

Well I will not stop you.

Furthermore, and I will not spoil the plot of the book; the movie is coming out soon, and I am nearly done with the book, so I am going to be careful here, and just talk about one idea.

Ya know what bothers me about all that "Mission from God," crap? I might have said here before. I am sure I have said it in life, but the idea is in my mind now, so here goes.

Why would an Omnipotent and Omniscient Being, a factually PERFECT BEING, leave any important task up to some weak and puny earthling?

THINK about that.

Then think about the next question.

If the Omnipotent and Omniscient Being, a factually PERFECT BEING, Already Knows the weak and puny earthling is going to succeed in advance, why even bother with the charade?

Last question; if the Omnipotent and Omniscient Being, a factually PERFECT BEING, does Not Know if the weak and puny human is up to the task, why risk the well being of any other weak and puny earthlings to the unsteady hands of one of their own weak and puny selves, when the Omnipotent and Omniscient Being, a factually PERFECT BEING, can skip the middle man and just set things to right, to start?

Breaking News! Bob Jones U. Apologized for Past Racist Statements.

We Are Sorry For Our Shameful History of Being Racist, Republican Rednecks. And We Mean it.

Good for them. They are now (according to my understanding of things that really matter) as minimally civilized as John McCain, and OBVIOUSLY MORE CIVILIZED than (* edit *) let's just say some other Republicans.

Goodie, goodie.

Better Late Than Never. A Pre-Election Plea for Reason (It's Humor, Actually) Posted Post-Election.

Now I knew this new Comedy Central show was due to start-up. I saw posters advertising for it in the NY Subway Tunnels, and other places, in NYC.

Now even if David Allen Grier has not enjoyed the same sort of success and stardom as his fellow "In Living Color" alums like Jamie Foxx, and Jim Carey, and the Wayans', don't let the lack of greater fame or fortune fool you. He has talent. And this bit is hilarious.

Now that I have had a minute or two to think about it, I have to wonder if there is any vid of Katt Williams talking about the election. For those of you who don't know Katt, he is raw, and I mean ghetto street-talking raw. Some would call him vulgar, and the language he uses is about as vulgar as it can ever get; literally. He still is one of the funniest damn acts I have Ev-ah seen. And it is not as if I personally cringe at hearing the eff or the ma-eff word used to much.

I mean, I do live in Urban Northern New Jersey. WTF?

That Horrid Palin Woman. She's Like a Bad Penny -- Always Turning UP . . .

(in addition to being a Narcissistic Succubus, Emotional Vampire, overcompensating, delusional, and apparently untreated ADHD case. But on to today's new news.)

Palin publicity blitz: No signs of slowing
Complaint says she crossed line between job, self-promotion
By KYLE HOPKINS, Published: November 19th, 2008 12:01 AM
Last Modified: November 19th, 2008 07:35 AM

As Sarah Palin settles back into her job as the state's chief executive, a new ethics complaint filed Tuesday says she's already improperly mixing her official duties and broader political ambitions.

The charge: That Palin broke state ethics rules by holding national television interviews about her run for vice president from the governor's office.

The complaint comes as Palin's personal life, her prospects as a future presidential candidate and everything she says and does continues to draw headlines.

Narcissistic Attention Whore Palin Accused of Ethics Violation by Using State Property as Set for Narcissistic, Self-Promotional Interview.

There is a really unflattering (but to my mind, revealing of the true nature of Sarah Succubus) picture, on the linked page. But I will be a good boy. I will not jack it and post it here. Go look at the article yourself. Look at the picture and ask yourself: it that her 'true' face, or is that just catching her in a (rare?) hostile and scary state of being?

But transitioning to the matter of a woman I actually like?

This lovely, smart, and attractive lady, Alison Stewart, was filling in on the Rachel Maddow Show last night.

I am more accustomed to "seeing her on the radio," as her main gig is with NPR.

Just saying, I like seeing her on TV even better than on the radio.

(Oh, and I checked her bio. She used to be a regular on MSNBC -- back before I finally got cable, this year.)

Alaska. Land of the Republican LOSERS.

And can I say the obvious? Republican FELONS, and Republican Armageddon-Fetish Death-Cult , Race Bating, Hate-Mongering Trash?

Speaking of the Hate-Mongering Race-Bating Trash, Sarah Palin is now seemingly officially joined in the Alaska Republican Losers Club, by Ted Stevens.

Convicted Republican Alaskan Felon (soon to be ex) Senator Ted Stevens is a LOSER.

Is the Nation better off with both of these dishonest, anti-American ( if acting anti-American means that Alaskans can get their Welfare Checks) Republicans barred from positions of responsibility in Our Nation's Capital and government, in 2009?

Yew Betcha.

Edit to Add. Smartest, Most Honest Republican Politician Since Lincoln. Really. (Too bad he is retiring.) Chuck Hagel.

"We are educated by the great entertainers like Rush Limbaugh,” Hagel said Tuesday during a speech in Washington, according to the Huffington Post.

“You know, I wish Rush Limbaugh and others like that would run for office,” a sarcastic Hagel continued. “They have so much to contribute and so much leadership and they have an answer for everything. And they would be elected overwhelmingly.

The truth is] they try to rip everyone down and make fools of everybody but they don’t have any answers.”

Hagel Takes Aim At Limbaugh, Senate Colleagues.

Well said, Chuck.

That Horrid Palin Woman's High End, Big Dollar Trousseau, Itemized.

Go Here for the Inventory.

Turns out that one of the least costly items on the list (her side) was those ugly-assed glasses, @ $375.00.

Now here is the part that should make the Wal*Wart shopping crowd want to chase this social climbing, pathological, scheming and hypocritical Succubus out of town on a rail:

$20,000.00, for one freaking handbag?

That is only slightly less than the average American yearly mortgage payment (2006 figure.)

$20,000.00 handbag?

Yew Betcha!

Quote of the Day.

I am reading Dan Brown's "Angels & Demons," the prequel to "DaVinci Code."

The character speaking the line is the head of the Elite Science Facility CERN, in Geneva, Switzerland.

He says to Robert Langdon, famed Harvard Symbologist:

"As a scientist I have come to learn that information is only as valuable as its source. Your credentials seemed authentic."

Let's Reintroduce Quickies. Or Something Close to That. Almost Maybe.

There was the writer over on Huffpo (an ex-evangelical) who was nervy enough to say That Horrid Palin Woman would never be elected.

I wish I could say that I respect his high hopes. I still do not want to seem negligent on the need to keep a careful watch on her and her Extremist Right Wing Horde. But on the other side, seeing the press conferences and interviews with her? I am in mind of the quote from the late Supreme Court Justice, about how sunlight is the best disinfectant. I think the more the Horrid Woman talks, the more she seems mad as a hatter. But still . . . in a nation of more than 300 millions, there has to be a market for that.

Next, I direct your attention to Frank Rich's insightful and somewhat chilling (even if you knew it for truth, beforehand) The Moose Stops Here. This piece is his entry on the topic of (as he calls it) "The Conservative Crackup." The chilling yet known part, concerns the Right Wing Extremists clinging to their culture war fetish, their bigotry, their hate mongering, and their racism. Here is a taste:

John McCain also might have held Florida had he prevailed with his first choice of a running mate, the pro-abortion-rights Joe Lieberman, but G.O.P. ayatollahs scuttled both him and the abortion moderate Tom Ridge, who might have helped win Pennsylvania. Not that McCain was innocent in these exclusionary escapades. He strenuously sought the endorsement of the Rev. John Hagee, even though Hagee had blamed gays for Hurricane Katrina, referred to the Roman Catholic Church as “the great whore,” and theorized that Hitler came about because God’s “top priority for the Jewish people is to get them to come back to the land of Israel.”

The icing on this rancid cake was the race-baiting of Obama and the immigrant bashing by G.O.P. hopefuls who tried to outdo the nativist fringe candidate Tom Tancredo. Yet Republican denial is unabated. In an interview with Palin the weekend before the election, a conservative Wall Street Journal editorialist asked whether “the G.O.P. doesn’t in fact have a perception problem, that it is no longer viewed as a big tent.” A perception problem? Hello — how about a reality problem?

Yet the G.O.P. really does believe that it’s all about perception. That’s why its 2000 convention offered a stage full of break dancers and gospel singers, wildly outnumbering the black delegates in the audience. Bush and Karl Rove regarded diversity as a public-relations issue to be finessed with marketing. Round up some black extras! Sell “compassionate conservatism” by posing Bush incessantly with black schoolchildren! Problem solved!

I agree with Mr. Rich, when he says it is a reality problem. Speaking of problems with reality, I will just sort of mention (again) the lunatic rantings of the lunatic Republican Extremist Wing. It was bad (and baseless) enough, when they were keeping it down to the slur about PE Obama being a Socialist, but now he is (depending on which loon you read/hear). Honestly? The slurs are too ugly to repeat. These people need medication; perhaps a great deal of it.

Lastly, this week, the Jonestown horror has been in the news for the past week.

Now, the more I think of that singularly worst example of religious psychosis, turned religious mass murder? Well, the more I think of that, the more that people like that Horrid Palin Woman alarm me. Did you see the vid of her talking about God showing her doors?

Some will criticize me for suggesting it, but to my mind the Palin's of the world and the Jim Jones' (and his followers, to be more inclusive) of the world are perhaps NOT one badly firing synapse away from each other, but they are way too close to call. I mean really? Jim Jones and his followers certainly did not start off totally out of their damn minds. They started off a little goofy, and off the main track. Then they got a little further off the main track. And then before you know it, they were killing "the outsiders," and after that, themselves.

Personally, I did not watch any of the full hour specials. I merely caught the summary, and the shots of Jonestown taken from the plane, after the murder/suicide, all those bodies all over the place.

Ya. If you want to understand why I distrust people who claim to get messages form God, just think of the Jonestown Horror.

Hillary as Sec. State?

I don't know how she feels about it, but if she is willing and PE Obama is willing, I guess I am ok with it.

I mean, we have Bobby Kennedy Jr. ready to take his martyred daddy's seat (finally.)

And Speaking of Kennedys, I want to see Caroline in the Senate. Far as I know, like her cousin Bobby Jr. , she is a genuine New Yorker, but can she claim residence at Hyannisport and be ready for succeeding Teddy's Senate Seat?

Pundit talk says she might be up for either a lower Cabinet slot, or my say -- one of the important Nominated Boards. Maybe FCC? NEH? Who knows? I was looking at the list myself the other day at change.gov, and even for a wonk like me, it is hard to keep track of that stuff.

But I still like the idea of her in a Senate Seat from the N'East. She could be there for the next 30 years, if not more, just like her cousin Bobby.

And then there is tho only Kennedy I actually did any campaign work for; Kathleen.

Ya, we can set her up somewhere. She is more than competent -- as compared to to many Bush Appointees. FEMA then? I am sure she can do a better job than 'Brownie.'

Pat Buchanan All But Admits (well the conclusion was beyond him) Why Republicans Should Just Give Up. (Not They Will, Though.)

I have been watching Hardball. In the significant segment, Chris Matthews had Pat Buchanan and some younger black republican. To paraphrase the younger (misguided, on account of being a republican) brother, he basically said that it is time for the republicans to abandon the ways of the past, and adapt to the changing demographics and do much better at the outreach to Blacks and Latinos, as it was (perhaps not the exact word he used) a total failure (this year, and up to date.)

Now on to Pat's response.

Pat goes on some tangent about how the Latinos believe in government because they are poor and want stuff from the government . . . .

I WILL MERELY NOTE THE INHERENT RACISM THERE, AND MOVE ON . . .

The hidden morsel of truth was there, on the other side of the mirror. Pat is old school (basically racist) republican, and as such he does not believe in government. Reagan did not believe in government either. That is a cornerstone of old school republicanism (never mind if the person in question is also a racist piece of garbage.)

That is the problem with republicans. Why the hell should people continue to vote for republicans to hold government offices, when too many of them still hold the idea of government in contempt?

Not a rhetorical question. WTF? Would you go to a surgeon who did not believe in surgery? Would you hire a house painter who did not believe in using paint? Would you hire a mechanic who did not believe in machines?

Well?

Point is, that even if that question was not upfront in the past election, it was there. Hell, I am pretty damn sure I heard one or the other of "Team Maverick," quote Reagan about government not being the solution but the problem. Well now in the end of the year 2008 when the big bad Federal Government is basically having to save the private sector, Wall Street, and now Detroit? Well that bullshit lie about government being the problem is more so than ever, obviously a total lie.

No rational, sane person is going to believe that shit anymore. And if the Obama Administration does even a halfway decent job of running things, not only will they be geometrically more successful than Plastic Turkey Man's Admin., but even more so, those idiots and liars who think that government is the problem will be even more marginalized. I hope to see the day when they are considered as backward as the Flat Earth Society. And at the rate things are going, that is not asking for anything that is an odds-against outcome. Thank goodness!

So Pat Buchanan? Be very nice to the people over on MSNBC. As each day ends and another begins, you are that much more out of date. So be happy for the gig. And don't make personal racist attacks on the younger black republicans if you know what is good for you!

Swear! Last Week The Thought Occurred to Me That That Horrid Palin Woman was a Succubus.

But according to this psychologist/life coach, she is more of a garden variety seductress and predator. (That sounds very succubus-y to me. Just saying.)

"What is the deal with this woman? Why is she winking at me? Is she flirting with me?" I had to take a deep breath because I noticed this queasy feeling growing in the pit of my stomach.

Then it flashed before me. I recognized her. I had met her before, in many forms, and here she was again. All of the sudden, it dawned on me that the reason I was having this reaction is because Sarah Palin is the living expression of The Seductress, one of the 20 masks, the faces of the wounded ego, that I outline in my latest book. Of course I felt disturbed -- she was working me right through my HDTV!

In Why Good People Do Bad Things, I suggest that those who don the mask of The Seductress are after one thing and one thing only: to make themselves feel better about who they are by getting whatever they might be after. Birthed out of the fear that they are not good enough, loved enough, or smart enough, they search until they find suitable targets to trap in their energetic webs -- in the case of Sarah Palin, first the citizens of the great state of Alaska and now the entire country.

I consider The Seductress a predator because her main goal is to feed on the self-esteem of others in order to soothe her own emotional wounds.

Debbie Ford: Palin As Seductress and Predator.

I suggest reading the whole essay. Now for fans of That Horrid Woman, I will not be surprised to hear the gnashing of teeth, and the wails and cries of unfair picking on her.

To that I say the following. Oh Grow up! I have personally seen Bill Clinton live, and that man clearly was trying to, and succeeded at seducing just about the whole damn audience. There is nothing new about that personality trait in politics. But comes the follow up question. Is there anything more there, other than the personality and the (usually) bruised if not broken soul, so clearly overcompensating for the person's feelings of inadequacy?

Or is what you see (but for the damage) all you get?

With that Horrid Palin Woman, I think all you get is the Succubus and her damage. There really is no there there. She is basically an overall average looking, average ability, possessed of an average intelligence, mostly unremarkable woman, save the fact that people who share her bigoted, biased partisan views tend to fall for her weak act.

I'm immune to it. But you know how some people really can not stand either the Bag Pipes or nails on a blackboard? Well all that folksy shit she does? Well that folksy shit is as annoying to me as the pipes or the nails on a chalk board are to other people. It makes me cringe at least a little. And I want it to stop, as soon as I see/hear that shit.

Let's Forget That Horrid Palin Woman for a Day. Let's Talk About a Genuinely Smart, and Glamorous GOP Woman, Instead.

Well I never denied she was smart. In fact I usually referred to her as Dr. or Secretary Rice (it always annoyed me how and when people who allegedly thought so well of her, diminished her.)

And she always had a refined sense of style.

But geeze louise, she really broke out the Glam. Fittingly, that award she is clutching is from the 2008 Glamor Magazine Awards.

And let it be known, my opinion of her in that picture: tres elegant!

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Ok. I am Holding Back Here . . .

Yes, I saw that Horrid Palin Woman's interview (some chunks of it, at least.)

Ohh Noooo! The Horror! That interview with Greta Van Sustern was like watching a really bad lesbian sex scene, with out the sexy naked women, and the sex.

Honestly, I originally typed up some elaborate and oddly somewhat thought-out essay on it, but I am going to be brief here.

She is a bullshit artist, and not even a good one. Nope, she is not as bad as old Scotty McClellen was, he of the perpetual deer-caught-in-headlights, look. But she has a long way to go to be an Ari Fleisher-caliber liar and bullshit artist. I rank her actually somewhere between the average Limbaugh loving Ditto-Head, Hannity-Insanity Fan, or Savage Nation Minion, and any one of those intellectually-lacking Right Wing Extremist Infotainers.

In other words, she came across rather dull-witted. And to my mind, that is just more of the same from her.

Nope, I never mean to say I believe that Horrid Woman is really stupid, as in the can't function at the level of a Wal Mart cashier level, stupid. However, I am saying that she seems not really much more intellectually adept than that.

But enough about her.

I have had a thought in my head since the victory of last week. Some people on my side of the fence are getting ahead of themselves, declaring the Right Wing Extremist Infotainers, like Hannity, and Limbaugh and Fox News, generally to now be marginalized and no longer relevant.

Stop that shit! Stop it right now! First remember what the Republicans are abject failures at:

Governance!

Now remember what they are good at:

Being vicious, hateful, shit flinging monkeys. And when they are out of power, that is all they have to do. So be ware. They are back to the place they feel most comfortable; on the outside.

In other words, hold fast, and do not let your guard down. The election may be over, but the Administration has not yet begun, and we have a long way to go and a lot of ducking to do, as those monkeys are throwing the shit already.

Ya know?

Spike in Death Threats To Obama Linked to That Horrid Woman's Rhetoric?

This journalist gives her more . . . cover . . . than I would, meaning his description of it being unintentionally so:

The Republican vice presidential candidate attracted criticism for accusing Mr Obama of "palling around with terrorists", citing his association with the sixties radical William Ayers.

The attacks provoked a near lynch mob atmosphere at her rallies, with supporters yelling "terrorist" and "kill him" until the McCain campaign ordered her to tone down the rhetoric.

But it has now emerged that her demagogic tone may have unintentionally encouraged white supremacists to go even further.

The Secret Service warned the Obama family in mid October that they had seen a dramatic increase in the number of threats against the Democratic candidate, coinciding with Mrs Palin's attacks.

Michelle Obama, the future First Lady, was so upset that she turned to her friend and campaign adviser Valerie Jarrett and said: "Why would they try to make people hate us?"
Palin Incited Violence Against Obama

Now I am not going to go so far as to say it was intentional. But it does, to my mind, rise to the level of "Malice." And by that I mean at minimum a reckless disregard from the consequences, knowing full well that the consequences could be . . . severe.

After all, isn't she (metaphorically speaking) Queen of the Back-Woods, Small-Town, Rabid Rube Horde? Are not those kinds of people picked up or investigated for the death threats against the Obamas, "Her people?"

Isn't the main difference between an obviously racist rube and one who can still pass for a minimally decent human and citizen, a mere matter of degree (if you consider the sin to be as much the desire as it is the act?)

You would think that Sarah, Warrior Princess would not only know full well how to fire up them good old boys, but also know that they much prefer violent actions, rather than reasoned discussion.

So I do not cut her slack. Not to say she is as powerful a person as that King of England (Henry II) who, it is said, once shouted,"Won't someone rid me of that troublesome priest?" Nor were her words as clear an instruction to her minions as King Henry's instructions. The king's wishes are his minion's commands. That Horrid Palin Woman was not so much toying with personal loyalties, but instead toying with the native violent impulses of many of the Right Wing Nationalistic Base. So she was not so much issuing indirect orders, like the king, but she was being maliciously reckless.

"Opps, by golly, my goodness. I had no idea that (my gun loving, hunting, and violence worshiping buddies would try to kill him) could happen. Yew betcha."

Good Lord. The more I learn about that Horrid Palin Woman, the more dangerous and insane she seems to be.

The Forces of Ignorance Lost. Oh Happy Day!

It took Nick Kristof to remind me, clue me into the obvious fact that the Obama/Biden Ticket defeating McCain/Palin means the intellectuals soundly thrashed the anti-intellectuals.

Obama and the War on Brains
By NICHOLAS D. KRISTOF
Published: November 9, 2008

Barack Obama’s election is a milestone in more than his pigmentation. The second most remarkable thing about his election is that American voters have just picked a president who is an open, out-of-the-closet, practicing intellectual.

We can’t solve our educational challenges when, according to polls, Americans are approximately as likely to believe in flying saucers as in evolution, and when one-fifth of Americans believe that the sun orbits the Earth.

Almost half of young Americans said in a 2006 poll that it was not necessary to know the locations of countries where important news was made. That must be a relief to Sarah Palin, who, according to Fox News, didn’t realize that Africa was a continent rather than a country.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/09/opinion/09kristof.html?em

Am I happy to see the anti-intellectuals soundly rejected by the majority of voting Americans?

Yew Betcha!

Giving Props Where Due

(I sorta have been fighting an urge to post about the more insane things the more demented of the extremist Republicans have been saying . . .)

Who would have thought that Elisabeth Hasselbeck would be the voice of reason, post election, particularly as she has gained more press coverage for her (I will be kind here) excessively enthusiastic support of "Team Maverick," than at any other time, save the fights With Rosie O'Donnell?

Without reservation or qualification, I commend her.

I took great solace and comfort from her story about telling her daughter, no one lost, every one won. It was a victory for us all.

Aww. And Well done. And I plainly say, Joy could have chosen a more gracious joke there, I will admit.

Hell. Since I am in the gracious kind of mood here, I will even give that (**EDITED** trying to be nice here) Sean Hannity the little bit of props earned. I was listening to the end of his show, yesterday, and he did say more than once something about how he hopes Pres. Elect Obama succeeds -- on account of the whole it being bad for everyone if he fails, thing.

Ya, it is not really that great a sentiment, but I have been peeking at his rabid minions' loopy postings on his message board.

Compared the the vulgar, demented, and in more than a handful of cases, outta there damn minds Republicans over there, Hannity is acting like a Friggin' Prince (as an Old School Jersey Boy or Girl might say it.)

I Told You All She Was A Crazy Person.

(Trust me, I know it when I see it!)

Here is my dilemma, as I have known from day one she was a nutter, yumpy, and would be as dangerous a head of state as a one-armed, one-legged blind epileptic would be as a helicopter pilot.

On the one hand, if that crazy incompetent magic-believing delusional nutter becomes the titular head of the GOP, they obviously deserve her. If they want to follow Batshit Crazy Caribou Barbie and she leads them into the frozen Tundra for forty Years, ok, fine. They all can hunt moose and live off lichen, for all I care.

On the other hand, That Dangerously Horrid Woman has already come closer to the levers of national power than is acceptable. I do not want to encourage any scenario where she gets half that close ever again.

And before I go off on some tangent, let me just wrap it up succinctly. She can be the leader of the GOP only if she takes the party off to increasing obscurity. I read where at least one rather intelligent commentator/pundit suggested that the GOP likely would not learn their lesson here, that their culture war, hate-mongering, divisiveness, character assassination, ideologically-driven, moral and intellectual bankruptcy did not help them. The lesson of an Obama/Biden win is that America REJECTED all that shit. The commentator predicted, however, that they, the hard core bunch, would not learn the lesson, and would just double down on that nasty hateful shit next time.

And if they want to swim in that shit, am I going to stand in their way?

No way!

Now There Are College Grads That Make One Wonder, How They Got Into College in the First Place?

And that Horrid Palin Woman is one of them.

I just saw the report that peeps from the McCain campaign were saying weeks ago (off the record till the election) that she did not know Africa was a continent?

Dangerously insane or insanely dangerous woman gets sent back to Alaska's frozen wastes.

A grateful Nation Cheers.

We Win!

Now I did not kill myself working on the campaign, but I put enough hours in to feel like I was part of the team.

Now the hard part comes; trying to clean up the mess. I saw some headline somewhere today, basically based on the core of one of the jokes I have been telling for years about the big power political jobs in America. The headline went something like,"Black Man Gets Worst Job In Nation." Sort of an overstatement, that is, but it is one of the hardest jobs, to take charge at the White House at a time when there is so much work to be done.

Remember how things were when Plastic Turkey Man Took over? Those days were like the line in that song,"Summertime, when the living is easy . . . ." These days are more like That Billy Joel Song, "We Didn't Start the Fire," with a segue to Ringo Starr's "It Don't Come Easy." I am not going to add "The Impossible Dream," as I believe there, "Ain't No Stopping Us Now," at least in making substantial gains against the daunting task ahead of us. But the mess of the past eight years is not going to be cleaned up, "In a New York Minute."

Oh. And I adopted this one, as my theme song, like 2 years ago?

Call Me Elitist, But I Do Not Want Anyone This Stupid In Any Office of My Government:

Palin says her free speech threatened

"If (the media) convince enough voters that that is negative campaigning, for me to call Barack Obama out on his associations," she said, "then I don't know what the future of our country would be in terms of First Amendment rights and our ability to ask questions without fear of attacks by the mainstream media."

Palin Not Understand Difference Between Government Censorship, and Being Questioned by Media.

And this leads to my more than likely last trebouchet (metaphorically speaking) aimed at That Horrid Palin Woman. Just for comic value, think of the cow that gets flung over the castle wall in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."

She is shallow, more than a little crazy, believes in magic, believes she has special status conferred by God, and basically thinks everyone who does not agree with her should be squashed like a bug.

Forget about that lame "pitbull with lipstick" crack; she is more like a particularly noxious Mafia Underboss in lipstick. Seriously.

But more to the point (well that being a crazy person should be a disqualifier right off the bat, but we have not had the chance to have her diagnosed. She seems very crazy to me, at least,) she does not understand jack shit about the actual job she is running for, and knows likely less about the job she is supposed to be waiting in the wings, and be ready to perform, and lastly, really doesn't seem to know dick about The Government of the United States of America.

How can we trust that crazy woman to fulfill the oath of office, to protect and defend the Constitution, when she is clearly and woefully ignorant of the thing?

Honestly!

I have said it before (maybe not here) and I will say it again. I hope that not only my team wins, and she gets sent back to the frozen tundra, but if there is any cause -- already -- for an indictment against her or an impeachment from office (and there were some interesting and potentially career killing tidbits in the news about her) that it happens and the nation be spared from her. Personally I am betting that if (please please) Obama/Biden wins, and she goes back to Alaska, that contingent of Washington Elite flacks and lawyers and fixers, will quickly retreat back down here, and she will be left, not necessarily all by her lonesome (as people will contribute to her legal defense fund) but with out the skilled defense she has had for the past 8 weeks. And there are some very interesting questions about how her house in Wassila was built.

I haven't done crim. law work in years, and I only did low level defense. Still, I know I can get an indictment out of those facts. And I don't mean a "ham sandwich" indictment. I mean I would secure a real solid case against her.

And like that thread on a garment, I wonder how much will unravel, if we tug on that one string, to start?

And that is to say, yes I think she is every bit as much a crook, as those "good old boys," she claims to have taken on. Ok. I will be kind. Maybe not as much, but still definitely crooked.

If This Doesn't Convince You That Horrid Palin Woman is a Dangerously Ignorant Rube, Nothing Will.

Palin Pranked by Sarkozy Impersonator

By Mary Ann Akers

Two well-known Canadian pranksters tricked Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin into thinking she was on the phone today with French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The conversation, captured on a Montreal radio program, was, in a word, embarrassing. (Politico's
Ben Smith was among the first to pick up on reports from The Canadian Press.)

Palin Punk'd

This woman needs to be sent back to the frozen tundra. She is criminally mentally unfit, no doubt.

Getting spanked by Charlie Gibson? Well he is one of those veteran East Cost Media Elites . . . he is tricksy!

Getting spanked by Katie Couric? Don't let the pixie smile fool you. She is one of those veteran East Cost Media Elites . . . she is tricksy!

But a couple a hosers from Mon-re-al?

Zootaloors! Encroyable! Le idot d'Mooseville? Elle est manque du Dieu de bon sens donnent habituellement un seau de cheveux de monkey.
