Chris Matthews Tells it Like it Is. More Bat Shit Craziness.

Even the saner ones, are crazy, sometimes.

And a follow up to interesting quotes from that James Lee Burke novel:

Pam to Hack: "Collins thinks he's a character in a film?"

Hack to Pam: "No. Collins is a chameleon and a clown. He's a self-educated guy who believes a library card makes him more intelligent than an MIT graduate. He likes to laugh at the rest of us."

That description of the person in question reminds me so much of so many of the GOP conservative hacks and pundits, and more so a lot of the rank and file. I wasted far too many hours of my life on message boards arguing with intellectually deficient people who did not know the difference between objective fact and pure bullshit. Case in point. One asshole who time and again I had to remind,

No. The logical fallacy of "Appeal to Authority" does not mean it is always wrong to cite from an expert in a given field. Far from it. It's a fallacy only when the argument is that the expert is always right because they are an expert, or famous, or powerful. If the authority has actually done the work and the research and received peer approval, and reward, and award for work in the issue at hand, the argument is valid.

Could you imagine being that stupid to need that explained to you?

Anyway, this is how my day is starting here.
