About That Election

Tuesday, February 13, 2024

Everyone is Fucked!

 Senator Vance Shamelessly Fluffs Trump.

I am not encouraging anyone to read this. Afterall. Nothing new about the low rent, low class trash that gets elected as Republicans, fluffing for bozo. They are not the ruling class. They are the minions of the ruling class. Being even a senator is too much like having a job. The ruling class do not have jobs. That is low class shit. They don't do low class shit. Mostly, most ruling class aristocrats follow that rule. Politics is low rent trash work, a job.

Don't get caught having a job. Having a job is low rent, trashy.

However, working on the family trust is not a job. It's looking after how family money is spent. Likewise, being on the board of directors of the family empire is not work. You are looking after the family assets. And you get to boss around or fire the CEO!

Ok. Baseline for my actual issue is set. I have said it before, but I wonder why the the ruling class hasn't retired bozo yet, and instead back a more reliable stooge?

I get why low rent, low class trash GOP senators kowtow to bozo. Never mind the GOP congresscritters. Most of that lot actually admire their Leper Messiah, bozo. But I will dismiss the GOP senators as bougie, or upper bougie, social climbing, two generations removed from plebes, who are willing to debase themselves for the sick, twisted, pathological lust for power.

I really don't get that pathology. I mean yeah. I rather live a life where nobody fucks with me or my shit. Who doesn't want that? But honestly, I don't want elected office. I don't want to be a senator or potus. Fuck that. I value my me time too much! But I digress.

Back to the ruling class. I really don't get it. Why haven't they realized that an unstable, nouveau riche, violently envious psychopath is a bad choice for guardian of their status and fortunes?

He isn't William F. Buckley. He isn't dedicated to the current social order, as much as he is personally greedy, and resentful. He despises the ruling class. Because he knows the ruling class despises him. And he actually sort of knows he is despicable. But he is who he is. And he will burn it all down, if that is what he thinks is necessary to appease his twisted ego, and sense of inferiority.

Not only are "we" fucked, if bozo get's back in the Oval. Even the ruling class is fucked. Because everyone and everything is at risk. All the fucking shit, is at risk!

Bonhoeffer‘s Theory of Stupidity

From the comments:

"The most important insight in this vid is that stupidity is essentially a moral failing more than an intellectual one."

Why So Many People Are Idiots. And Why There Seems To Be So Many More Idiots.

Yet once more. I delve into the morass of a swamp of a quicksand pit that is human stupidity. As it says in the quote I will post below. The quick and intuitive kind of "judgment" is natural. But I am a hard ass. I don't like people all that much, and don't give a fuck if people get upset by my articulating uncomfortable truths. But we all are born with perhaps not an inner child but instead, an inner idiot.

The second style of judgment is basically science. So. My theory is those fucking morons who are anti science sort of know that science minded people are right. But they resent them too. They are too fond of their inner idiots, and have let their inner idiot take over so much of their functioning in the world that they are hostile to the other system. That is why they fight science.

Science reminds them they are lazy and stupid. And they know that is true, but hate being reminded of it. Just like a lot of white Republicans really hate being reminded they are basically racists. That shit is related!

Anyway. Before I get to the quote. I have been thinking a lot lately about the critical scene from "Mad Men." The one where Don Draper explains in a pitch meeting to Lucky Strike executives what the purpose of advertising (and the commercial economy it services,) really is. It exists to assure people that they are ok. And every and any thing that threatens that sense of being ok? Must be opposed.

That is modern life. Read the blurb below, and after that? Class Dismissed!

"Explaining gullibility
Gullibility occurs because we have evolved to deal with information using two fundamentally different systems, according to Nobel Prize winning psychologist Daniel Kahneman.

System 1 thinking is fast, automatic, intuitive, uncritical and promotes accepting anecdotal and personal information as true. This was a useful and adaptive processing strategy in our ancestral environment of small, face-to-face groups, where trust was based on life-long relationships. However, this kind of thinking can be dangerous in the anonymous online world.

System 2 thinking is a much more recent human achievement; it is slow, analytical, rational and effortful, and leads to the thorough evaluation of incoming information.

While all humans use both intuitive and analytic thinking, system 2 thinking is the method of science, and is the best available antidote to gullibility. So, education tends to reduce gullibility and those who receive scientific training in critical, sceptical thinking also tend to be less gullible and less easily manipulated.

Differences in trust can also influence gullibility. This may be related to early childhood experiences, with the idea that trust in infancy sets the stage for a lifelong expectation the world will be a good and pleasant place to live." Gullible.

Let Us Not Name Names. But This is One of the Hallmarks of an Inferior Mind. My Opinion at Least. Universalizing.

First, the ignorant quote, which will remain unattributed:

"And I think if Americans were perfectly honest, we'd all confess to having a love/hate relationship with the guy."

No!  No!  Motherfucker, no!

Firstly, I am a native of the NYC area, and have lived most of my life in this area . . . . always in the North East, Atlantic Coast region.  And particularly, here in the Tri State Area, there are millions of people who have despised  Bozo for decades.  So no.  The quote is factually wrong.  Now for the rhetorical deconstruction.

It is a particularly bullshit form of argument to not only advance an ipse dixit argument   --   one for which there is no support, save the unsupported assertion itself.  But it is another level of bullshit when the argument is so wide in reach, there is no fucking way it can be true.  And further, no matter how much one could try to verify, one could never possibly collect enough data that could support it, and in trying, one would not only disprove it first, but quickly.  It's a baseless, and specific generalization.

But here is the last bullshit part.  Or at least the last I will include.  It is universalizing.  It is that insipid form of argument when someone has their own opinion about some shit, and baselessly ascribes that to everyone.

Talk about nasty, sloppy, shitty, bullshit thinking and argument.

But back to the way I and millions of my fellow Tri State Area neighbors think about Bozo?  There was this brit com  called "Chef."  The title character was played by the brilliant Sir Lenny Henry.  "Chef" had a recurring line, that went like, "I hate you with a passion you never will understand."

One should never underestimate the millions of people who truly hate Bozo, and have for decades.  Never mind, the thousands of people who were directly or indirectly fucked over by him, over the course of his life.

I don't merely call bullshit on that quote.  I call fluffing!  And I mean, in the urban dictionary sense.

Enough Already!

Ok. I might not be the first to say it but here goes.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about Steve Jobs. Let the damn man rest in peace. More importantly, let me live in peace!!!
