It Takes A Special Kind of Idiot -- Part Deux. If One Doesn't Think the Daughters of the Confederacy are Racist Scum . . . .

 one is likely to be too accommodating of all other kinds of racists.  

Before I talk about how Ann Althose is double doubling down on accommodating racists, and attempting to legitimize racist beliefs (in my opinion.)  Take note of my theory about why so many Republican racists think they are not racists, despite their racist beliefs and speech.

"Hey!  Look at those guys wearing Nazi uniforms, or Klan robes.  I would never do that! I'm not a racist!"

But that is not, nor has that ever been even the mere dictionary definition, leave alone the social or political science definition of racism/racist.

Back to Althouse.   Her most recent assist to the forces of evil was to promote (even if with a tad of cynicism) some new vid of that insane motherfucker Scott Adams (my opinion)  which puts forth some bat fucking shit insane conspiracy theory about how Charlottesville was some false flag opp, and the alleged racists were actors.  Flat out, loney tunes, Q Anon, Pizzagate level fuckfaced bullshit.

And in the past, I was willing to consider her some kind of twisted internet Queen Bee who pot stirs shit to keep her chat space active.  But when you start promoting that level of pro racist bullshit, to rile up your very racist commentors.  But lately?

Remember what Hannah Ardent said:  

“Evil comes from a failure to think. It defies thought for as soon as thought tries to engage itself with evil and examine the premises and principles from which it originates, it is frustrated because it finds nothing there. That is the banality of evil.”

I think Hannah would solidly condemn giving publish space to racists, to specifically bait them with juicy racist morsels  so they can gorge on them and promote even more racist shit themselves.  She would straight denounce that shit!

I know I should not spend too much time on that lost soul, Althouse.  But I will say this.  I go to events at the  law school she attended.  Fuck, I wish she had the nerve to show up there.  The professors there now would dog walk her, but with nice big fancy lawyer words, I am sure.  They would happily remind her how lost she is and unhinged from that great school's humanitarian, pro decency, anti racist values.

To believe that Bozo the POTUS is being unfairly treated when he is accused of of saying that the racists at the Unite the Right rally were very fine people.  These special kinds of idiots either say it is the Charlottesville Hoax or the Charlottesville lie.  But those idiots are the hoaxers and liars.  Why I am I so comfortable saying that?

That rally was organized by the worst of alt right racist scum.  And they invited all kinds of other extremist scum to show up.  Now ordinarily I would call the Daughters of the Confederacy racist scum.  For the sake of this case, let us pretend they are not.  Even if they are.  Let's pretend Bozo the POTUS  meant to say people like the Daughters of the Confederacy could be very fine people.  

The best thing I can say about the Daughters of the Confederacy is they were fucking smart enough not to show up at the Unite the Right rally.  Main stream, ordinary Republican racists stayed away from that shit in droves.  So if any of those types showed up, they were very much the exception, not the rule.

And truth be told,  the Daughters of the Confederacy are racist trash, and are not very fine people anyway.

Ann Althouse is one of the people who buy into this hoax theory.  She owns that shit, and well shit.

That is her shit.  My shit  is saying the Daughters of the Confederacy, and your other Republican racist anti immigrant and the like, fellow traveler racist trash, are in fact racist trash, and are not very fine people.

Color Blindness is Racism, Dummy!

 

One of the ideas I find particularly ass backwards, and explicitly racist, it the claim that a color blind society it the goal of anti racist sentiment.  How fucking stupid must some one be, to buy into that particularly obviously ignorant line of in thinking?

I am only on this sub subject as I read something over on now retired Law Professor Ann Althouse's blog where she pretty much endorsed the color blind theory.

I am not going to call her a racist.  But I will say the following.  Her bois in the comment section are.  They are pretty much that double ignorant kind who tend to be virulent racists, and in denial of it, at least out loud.

And I am not going to nit pick her. I will just say the following.  Whenever she speaks on issues of race, she seems to me to display all the depth of understanding of the issues as you would expect from a three year old, trying to explain the correct way to calibrate the control rods of a nuclear reactor.

I will end it there.

That's Not Funny, Actually.

I have been resisting the idea that the current POTUS is somehow a comedian, mainly because I don't think he is funny, when he is trying to be funny.  And as well, I can't stand the sound of his voice.  Or his delivery.  He might not be a drunk, but he sounds and moves like one.  So I have not watched much of his rally performances.  Just unfunny and boring.

They say that conservatives/Republicans are less funny than Democrats.  And I agree with that generally.  And I don't think it is because they tend toward lowbrow vulgarity.  For someone of my generation, who grew up on Monty Python and even Benny Hill, I can appreciate vulgarity.

To me, the main problem with them doing comedy generally is, they punch down.  Yes, there is this thing called insult comedy.  But that does not mean all insults are funny, are comedy.  Likewise, there is cringe comedy.  New name, old idea.  I look at Bozo the POTUS as an unfunny cringe act, at best.  He just makes me cringe, not at all in a cathartic or amusing way.  I see him on a stage, in public, and I hear the bullshit coming out of his mouth, and at my most generous?  Well there was this comedienne back in the 80s who had this Southern Ladies bit. Something like,  maybe it's the magic of the accent, but Southern Ladies can get away with saying things like,"My my.  To think she left the house looking like that, thinking she looked good.  Poor thing."

In other words, at best I think he is pathetic in his rank attempts at humor.  And that reminds me.  Part of the problem is, but for Twitter and cell phones, he seems locked in time, circa 1977.  He is stuck in mind of a time when you could easily get away with all the toned down racist, sexist, homophobic shit you could, because 70s America was just on the verge of growing past that shit.

So yeah.  I don't get it.  I m not amused.  

PS. Sarah Cooper is hilarious!  I resisted her vids, as her famous act of late is doing lip sync comedy to Bozo's own audio.  And I had to overcome my natural revulsion of his voice to be able to enjoy her work ridiculing him so effectively.

I wold love to see her doing some real sketch comedy with others.
