Congratulations VP Harris. And a Criticism of Republishers of Conspiracy Theory. This Includes You, O.W.L.

 I am a Yellow Dog Dem. I always want to beat the GOPers.  With that in mind, congrats VP Harris, on being the presumptive nominee for the Democratic party this year.  I have been on Team Harris since she ran in the primaries  five years ago.

I fear that actually winning the election, under ordinary math, is just going to be the beginning.  But moving on . . .

Conspiracy theories.

At what point does one go past merely acknowledging  that there has been conspiracy theory chatter, and cross the line into dissemination and legitimizing?  I herby accuse that person I call the Owl of crossing that line.  Lately on her blog, she is posting shit about the conspiracy theories surrounding not only the near miss, failed hit on bozo.   But also about the Biden/Harris switcheroo.  Something I have not only been predicting since the debate debacle.  But I had to have a memory flashback to recall. That is what I was voting for in my mind, four years ago.  At least hoping to see.  

Anyway.  The Owl has not only been posting chunks and links to other people's twisted conspiracy theories.  She is adding her own twisted remarks.  She might not be offering full throated endorsement of the other people's brain farts.  But she is at minimum giving support to brain farts, as a legitimate form  of thinking and communication.

It's shit on the order of, we are just asking questions?   Previously I have accused her of the delusion she can read other people's minds, and get to what is really going on, remotely, outside of her and everyone else's view.  

That is magical thinking.  And idiotic.

I have not said dick about the near miss assassination

 Because bozo is a dick.  I am sorry for the innocent bystanders.  But regarding the nearly dickless, according to Ms. Daniels, dick who was the intended target?  All I got to say here and now is. 

Some one who did not seem to be well in the head, with anger management issues, now has a whopper of a case of PTSD.  And could become POTUS again.

Maybe later, I will slap up the the theory about how version two of The Matrix, was the gothic Nightmare Matrix.  With monsters.  Well.  That is that actually.  But to say I can't see a difference.  And I love making The Matrix comparisons. 

Now to the GOP convention.  I don't have much to say about that.  But for how it's all ugly gaslighting.  What kind of cognitively challenged person could even think to look for something redeeming in it?

She Really Doesn't Know Politics, or Elections.

 It's like watching some old, frail, but not some one you like much, lady fall down, after she said something rude and obnoxious, and totally uncalled for, to some child.  

The Owl is at it again. Not having a clue how little she understands what she is talking about.  But to set the baseline.  Years ago.  When regulars over at bloggingheads.com used to ask her on.  Which has not happened in years and years.  In this one comical appearance, she admitted she really knew nothing about politics.  And then started talking about politics. 

Getting current.  She is as of today, saying the people who run the website 538 deserve more trust on the question of Biden's chances of winning, than his own insiders.  Because incoherent, and or magical thinking reasons? 

Specifically, the Owl has been on this bent, where she acts as if she has the powers of the mysterious and fictional character known as . . . The Shadow.  Who it was said, could read into the hearts of men.  Or maybe she believes she can read minds?  In any way.  She is sounding more and more like crazy old lady in the park, or on the bus, who just happens to know the real truth about everything!  And will tell you.  Whether you want to hear it or not!

Ok. Before I deconstruct her magical thinking conclusions. The data is that there currently is, for all intents and purposes, meaning within a standard polling margin of error, a statistical tie between Biden and bozo.  Even some of Biden's own staffers interpret that (and we must assume along with data points they have that 538 doesn't,) to mean Biden can't win.  She trusts 538's stastical dead head more?

Anyway.  Deconstruction time.

538 is using external polling, and running scenarios based on that limited kind and source of data.

The Biden campaign has that data, and given how modern campaigns with money operate, their own internal polling.  On top of that, they have data regarding support from national, state, and local democratic officials.  And some of that is data those other officials are getting from constituents.  Perhaps raw.  Perhaps not at all from a controlled process. But it's actual data from actual constituents.

Lastly and perhaps more importantly. They have real time real live data about how far Biden has slipped in his functioning.  And whether it's accelerating?

They have more data.  They have more kinds of data. And they are worried.

But the Owl doesn't trust them. Because she can read their minds.  She has magical powers.  She thinks.

She Doesn't Understand Basic Sociology .

 Or prose writing either, for that matter. 

You might think that someone capable of forming an opinion (fairly jejune,) and publishing it on the interwebnetubes, would understand.  Everyone with access to the Web can publish any stupid opinion there.  Maybe not on each and every platform.  But there is some where some one can post their shit.

And I am heading right to the snark. What makes the OWL think any observation she publishes is worth any one's time?

She seems to really think like this.  

She's like the Mr. Magoo of blogging.  An old time, blind cartoon character.) Not the only one, I am sure.  But few have her credentials paired with that level of cognitive self blindness.   

Lady!  You constantly do what you criticize in others.  Pontificating!  Declaring!  Ruling on what is best to do with the baby!

Sheesh.

Oh.  Just for the record. The Sociology part?  Now it is one thing for one person to decide someone should be  out of polite society.  But you need a critical mass of members of that society to agree.  Otherwise, it's just one person's opinion.  This is about as basic as the reality of human social function  understanding gets.

 

Stupid Is As Stupid Does, Dave.

 Over the past week, I saw two different articles making wildly inaccurate comparisons of reality to movies.  The first one was allegedly detailing the Gumpification of America because.  Incoherent reasons.  I say that because the character of Forrest Gump is smarter than most Americans because Forrest at least knows he isn't the smartest man. 

Most Americans would do well to emulate Forrest, in downplaying his mental acuity.  

And the other stupidity?  Some one who as well could do better by emulating Forrest, by diminishing their belief in their smarts.  Well she decided to make an analogy of P. Biden's WH , to the plot of that movie "Dave."  Where a POTUS has a stroke, and staffers pass off a body double for a time.

She made that analogy, despite P. Biden not having had a stroke, and no body double being used for him.

So I keep on saying, there is a lot of bad writing on the internet.

I have No Use For Uninformed Opinion

 

Potentially the Most Repulsive Shit Pulled By The Owl.

 Reminder.  I say she doesn't know shit about psychology.  And even if it might at first brush seem to be innocent.  She posted a link from some WaPo article on narcissism.  Instead of her often employed drive by method of just posting shit  without comment?  She opines:

Skepticism-inducing lines in the article: "Experts aren’t sure how common NPD is. The disorder is underdiagnosed, partly because symptoms can be confused with other personality disorders and partly because most narcissists aren’t rushing into therapy."

It's flagrantly dishonest.  Skeptical of what?   As someone who had my first contact with the DSM back in 1987, the idea that any one of the personality disorders is underdiagnosed is, well ancient knowledge.  Now whether it was her intent, she led the deplorables who comment there down the rabbit hole where the actual reality of if not NPD but all the personality disorders are being denied.   Perhaps even the entire field?   Conspiracy theory type thinking about Psychology is also ancient.  So as much as I would love to say she invented a new conspiracy theory.  She just dug it up  and employed it.

Revolting.

And then there is the political agenda.  The Leper Messiah is often described as not only clinically narcissistic, but all over the map of psychological disorders.   I guess the new, perhaps, tactic for his idiot horde is not to merely deny the behavior or accuracy of classification.  They are now denying the actual existence of the actual disorder.

I repeat.  Revolting.

Again. I have no idea whether she had intent to be this revolting.  I can only judge based on what I see.

Re The Immunity Ruling.

 I could use words.  They will not be adequate to fully express my contempt for the treasonous, treacherous Republican SCOTUS justices.
