I'll skip the shot at the Iraq war supporters. No matter how many die. No matter how much the cost in $$$. No matter how shitty a shit hole that place is, the die hards will never question their support. At least in public. But I want to go to the other point.

Isn't this picture 100% proof positive that every one of those flaming assholes who made fun of P. Obama using teleprompters was and is indeed the worst of lying scum? If not evil. If not racist. If not evil and racist.

Am I Repeating Myself?

I think that the GOP will blow this.  Even if I have detected a creeping willingess for the MSM to sometimes  get pulled along with the hysteria  of the   --  as I now call it  --  Outrage Industrial  Complex  --  AKA wing nuts.  I think they will fuck it up.  Because.  That is what they do.  The only thing they really got going here, with the IRS story  is peeps  really don't seem to like the IRS  in large numbers.  Will that help the win nuts and tea baggers  swell their ranks?  Not too likely.  The assholes  who go for that shit have been indetified, already, and are on the mailing lists, already.

So expect  some really bad theatre.  I personally  hope to see someone  from the Dem  Cong. Caucus  put to the floor a resoluton for John Boehner  to be censured  for  saying  someone  broke the law here, before the investigation  even began.  That is corruption.  That is evil.  Asking  people  who are not supposed to be significantly engaged in political activities  in order to qualify for an exemption, questions  about their activities  is just people doing their jobs.  Far as I see it.

My Short Take on the IRS Targeting Tea Baggers, Story.

Republicans. So used to lying they actually believe it is a scandal when honest people try to catch them at it.

One of Those Rare Moments I Agree Wtih Althouse.

Naturally  it is not politics.  Something more trivial than that.  American Idol.

She like me thinks  that guest  coach was giving some much needed  professional pointers on singing ballads.  Go  here for that.

Her quote:

"A painful moment last night on the dying show they call "American Idol." The contestants were singing old standards, and Connick obviously knows how to sing them well, but his efforts to help them sing those songs fell on — it's mean to use this cliché, which is why I'm violating my rule against clichés — deaf ears."

I gave up on AI years ago and started watching again this year because of a lady friend did.  And I am a musician of sorts.  I can deal with it  as long as I keep in mind, it is TV product.  And part of the fun of it, is complaining about it.  Now last night I was commenting  on my FB page.  And one of my friends  disagreed with me  siding with Harry Connick  telling the one singer to sing the purer  version, instead of some more stylized version.  I agreed with the ultimate  direction:

Sing the melody.

Earlier today I revisited that thread, and made the following  observation:
"Follow up. First, I can not sing for real. Best I can do is "imitate." And not well for the record. But I that that was the point HC was making. (Don't imitate,) sing the melody."

I really think I got what  Connick was saying.  Don't immitate.  Sing damnit!
