I Get Angrier and Angrier. Two Quickies.

Right now I am of a mind that we need, in America, a Reverse Coup d'état. I want to see our lawfully elected President seize control back from the usurpers who are hell bent on killing the national government as it was when I was born.

And also, Our tolerance for free speech is turning us into a bullshit, has been nation. And that is part of why we need Reverse Coup d'état.

When you see these forces that you wish to "restore to power" and the job they have done in Chicago, Detroit, California, Newark, Philadelphia - why doesn't the word "DESTROY" the the first thing that comes to mind?

Mainly because I understand where capitalism and it's more "destructive" variation corporatism relatively ends, and where honest attempts at governance begins. And at it's best, honest government can only do so much where there's a depressed local economy and a weak tax base.

And I understand that the current republican party is anti-government and pro corporate. I'm painting with a broad brush, I know, but as far as the people who really run the GOP are concerned, they really don't give a fuck if any number of rust belt cities succeed or fail. They will do their best to make money on the deal no matter which way it goes.

Think about the scene in that movie "Trading Places," where one of the mean old nasty rich guys explains to the street hustler how the company makes money. The rich old guy says something like, no matter if our clients make money or lose money, we make our money. That's the GOP in a nutshell. But is not merely that they will try as best as they can to make a profit no matter the cost to others. They are actively and literally shamelessly hostile to the very idea of government -- except when it comes to getting government contracts, or otherwise getting their greedy mouths on the government tits.
