This is an exclamation of JOY, no matter if Kirk is a seriously christian religious cat. Maurice White and the EWF experience was sorta really poly spiritual. I know this for a fact. I saw EWF in concert three times between 1/1/76 and 1/1/80.

I know what an EWF show was about and it was about inclusivenness not exclusivelness.
